■ Risk assessment should include dust created by the use of the product and the potential for disturbing existing dust.
■ Take precautions to ensure that other people are not contaminated (dust generation).
■ Ensure that the used blast medium is trapped and collected so that it can be disposed of in an environmentally compatible manner.
■ Operate and maintain the product as recommended in these instructions, to minimize dust or fume emissions.
■ Direct the exhaust so as to minimize disturbance of dust in a dust-filled environment.
1
Page 5
■ Where dust or fumes are created, the priority shall be to control them at the point of emission.
■ Use appropriate respiratory protection when using the product.
■ Exposure to high noise levels can cause permanent, disabling hearing loss and other problems, such as tinnitus (ringing, buzzing, whistling or humming in the ears). Therefore, risk assessment and implementation of appropriate controls for these hazards are essential.
■ Appropriate controls to reduce the risk may include actions such as damping materials to prevent workpieces from “ringing”.
■ Use appropriate hearing protection when using the product.
■ Operate and maintain the product as recommended in the instruction handbook, to prevent an unnecessary increase in the noise level.

Noise emission values are in accordance with EN 1265, and this air sand blasting gun noise level is tested at no load.
Vibration emission values are in accordance with EN ISO
20643.
WARNING
The vibration level specied in these instructions has
been measured in accordance with a standardised
measuring procedure specied in EN ISO 20643 and
can be used to make equipment comparisons. The
specied vibration emission value can also be used to
make an initial exposure estimate.
The vibration level varies in accordance with the use of the compressed air tool and may be higher than
the value specied in these instructions in some
cases. It is easy to underestimate the vibration load if the compressed air tool is used regularly in a certain manner.
INTENDED USE
The air sand blasting gun is intended to be used only by adults who have read and understood the instructions and warnings in this manual, and can be considered responsible for their actions.
The product is intended for removing metal surface contaminants, stains, rust, paint, oil, roughening/matting a surface, etc,. using abrasive materials.
Do not use the product for any other purpose.
RESIDUAL RISKS
Even if you are operating this product in accordance with all the safety requirements, potential risks of injury and damage remain. The following dangers can arise in connection with the structure and design of this product:
1. Dust and fumes generated when using the product can cause health defects.
– Only work in sufficiently ventilated area. – Always wear a safety mask when using the product
and keep other people far away from work area.
2. Danger of injury and property damage caused by high speed sanding abrasive.
– Wear appropriate personal protective equipment. – Prior to operation, protect other people and
property in the work area from high speed sanding abrasive by providing barriers or shields.
ASSEMBLY
AIR SUPPLY SET UP
See gure 2.
■ Make sure the regulator is in the "off" position.
■ Connect the product to a quick coupler. Wrap the thread with thread seal tape.
■ Attach the air hose to the compressor's air outlet. Then connect the other end to the quick coupler attached to the product.
3
Page 7
NOTE: the air hose must be long enough to reach the work area with enough extra length to allow free movement while working.
■ Turn on the air compressor according to the manufacturer's instructions. Allow it to build up pressure until it cycles off.
■ Adjust the air compressor's output regulator to not more than 6.3 bar (90 psi).
■ The minimum hose diameter should be 9.52 mm (3/8”) I.D. and the fittings must have the same inside dimensions.
■ Check for leaks in the air connections. Repair as needed.
■ If the product will not be used, turn off and disconnect the air supply. Discharge any residual air pressure to prevent accidental operation.
OPERATION
PREPARATION
■ Designate a work area which is clean and well lit. Prevent access by children and animals.
■ Route the air hose along a safe route to reach the work area. The air hose must be long enough to reach the work area with enough extra length to allow free movement while working.
■ Make sure no hazardous objects such as utility lines or foreign objects are present nearby.
■ The workpiece must be stationary and clamped. Unrestrained or moving workpieces could cause injury during operation.
WARNING
Prior to sandblasting, protect other people and property
in the work area from ying debris by providing barriers
or shields. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
GENERAL OPERATING INSTRUCTION
See gure 3-4.
WARNING
Do not use sand (crystalline silica) for blasting.
■ Make sure the regulator is in the "off" position.
■ Open the cap of the hopper and fill with 80-120# glass fibre sand. Replace the cap.
■ Ensure that the filling does not exceed the capacity of the hopper (0.62 L).
NOTE: To prevent the beads from accidentally spilling out
of the nozzle, do not point the nozzle downward.
■ Connect the air hose to the quick coupler attached to the product.
■ Turn the compressor's regulator to 6.3 bar (90 psi). Then turn on the compressor.
WARNING
Ensure the air supply is clean and does not exceed
6.3 bar (90 psi) while operating the product. Too high an
air pressure and unclean air will shorten the product's life due to excessive wear, and may be dangerous causing damage and/or personal injury.
■ Turn on the blasting gun's regulator by rotating counterclockwise. Grip the sand blasting gun firmly with both hands.
■ Aim the nozzle toward the object to be blasted. Then turn the regulator to the "on" position. Squeeze the trigger to activate the sand blasting gun.
■ Do a test on an old workpiece to find out the optimum distance/working pressure and avoid excessive rebounding from the workpiece.
■ The closer between the nozzle and the workpiece, the smaller the dispersion pattern and vice versa.
■ When finished blasting, release the trigger. Turn off the air compressor and squeeze the trigger once to release residual pressure in the sand blasting gun. Disconnect the sand blasting gun from the air supply.
■ To refill the hopper, release the trigger. Turn off the blasting gun's regulator by rotating clockwise. Turn off the air compressor and squeeze the trigger again to release residual pressure in the sand blasting gun. Then refill the hopper.
■ Dispose of used abrasive media according to local regulation and guidelines.
■ Clean and store the product out of reach of children.
