NOTE
This document contains only the instructions necessary for setting up and safe use of your phone. To ensure the IP protec tion of the phone please make sure that the seals of the battery, the USB port cover and all the screw covers are in their correc t place.
Please read these operating instructions of this phone carefully before use.
2_FAULTS AND DAMAGES
If there is any reason to suspect that the safety of the phone has been compromised, it must be withdrawn from use immediately. Measures must be taken to prevent any accidental restar ting of the phone.
The safety of the phone may be compromised if, for example:
malfunctions occur. the housing of the phone or the batter y shows damage. the phone has been subjected to excessive loads. the phone has been stored improperly.

3_FURTHER SAFETY ADVISES
Do not touch the screen of the phone with sharp objects.
Dust par ticles and dirt may scratch the screen. Please maintain the screen clean. Remove dust on the screen with a sof t cloth
gently and do not scratch the screen. Charge the phone under indoor conditions only. Please do not put the phone in environments with excessive
temperatures as this could lead to heating of the batter y,
resulting in re or explosion. Do not charge the phone near any ammable or explosive
substances. Do not charge the phone in environments with much
dust, humidity, or excessively high or low temperatures
(the permit ted charging temperature range is 5 °C – 35 °C). Please do not connect the poles of the battery directly,
to avoid short-circuiting the battery. Do not use the phone in areas where regulations or legislatives
prohibit the use of a mobile phone. Do not expose the phone, the battery or the charger
to strong magnetic elds, such as are emitted from
induction ovens or micro-waves. Do not attempt to open or repair the phone. Improper repair
or opening can lead to the destruction of the phone, re or
explosion. Only authorized personnel are allowed to repair the phone. Only use accessories approved for the product. Power o the phone in hospitals or other places where the
use of mobile phones is prohibited. This phone may aect
proper work of medical equipment, like pacemakers,
so always keep a distance of at least 15 cm between the phone

and these devices.
Observe all corresponding laws that are in force in the
respective countries regarding the use of mobile phones while operating a vehicle.
Please power o the phone and disconnect the charging cable
before cleaning the phone.
Do not use any chemical cleaning agents to clean the phone or
the charger. Use a damp and anti-static soft cloth for cleaning.
Do not discard old and abandoned lithium batteries into
the trash, send them to designated waste disposal locations.
The user alone is responsible for any and all damages and
liabilities caused by malware downloaded when using the network or other data-exchange functions of the phone. The i.safe MOBILE GmbH cannot be held responsible for any of these claims.

Terminate a call, home- button
11_ On/O-Key:
Short press to activate and deactivate the screen lock. Long press to power on and power o the phone.
12_ Back-Key:
Back to the previous screen mask.
13_ SOS-Button:
A long press on this button will automatically dial up a deposi- ted phone number for emergency. Attention! This function is only useable with the optional RugGear Europe Lone Worker Protection App (LWP).

5_FIRST STEPS
5.1_ BAT TE RY
The battery is inserted into the back of the mobile phone. The batter y is not fully charged when the mobile phone is purchased, but it contains enough energy to power on the phone. To obtain best battery performance and battery life, let the battery discharge completely before charging it completely for therst three charging cycles.
5.1.1_CHARGING THE BATTERY
Connect the delivered USB-cable with the phone. Connect the plug with the socket of the Power Supply. After charging, remove the USB-cable.
5.1. 2_ BATTE RY U SE
In actual use, the standby time and talk time of the phone varies with the net work status, working environment and usage.
When the power of the battery is lower than normal, the phone will prompt you to charge it. Please charge the battery; otherwise you may lose any les which have not been saved.
If you do not charge for a long time, the phone will be powered o automatically.
WARNING
The phone may only be charged at ambient temperatures in a range from 5 °C – 35 °C. Please do not use charging equipment if the temperature exceeds this range. Only use the approved USB-cable and charger. Using any other cable may cause danger and will void the warranty.
5.2_OPEN UP TH E BATTE RY COVER
Lay down the phone to front face and open up the two screws with the delivered screw driver.
Now you can remove the batter y and the battery cover.
5.3_INSTALLATION OF TH E SIM CARDS
The phone features two SIM card slots (1, 2).
If you have installed two SIM cards, you can choose your primar y card in
Settings
Please note that the SIM cards are correct installed!

Only Micro SIM cards are allowed for use! The warranty is void if the wrong SIM cards are used!

5.4_ INSTALL ATION OF THE MICROSD CAR D
Power the phone o before you install the Micro-SD card. The phone accepts Micro-SD cards up to 32GB. Open the Micro-SD card holder and insert the Micro-SD card
into the slot (3), then close the Micro -SD card holder.
6_FIRST USE
Open up the battery cover (as described above) and install the SIM card, and the delivered battery. Then close the battery cover. Se- cure it by turning the two screws with the delivered screw driver.
6.1_ POWERING ON YOUR PHONE
Press the powe r key until the phone gives a short vibration. Depending on the security set tings of your SIM card,
the phone may ask you for your personal identication
number (PIN) before starting up. On rst power on, the phone ask you for your preferred
language, an optional emergency phone number,
current time, current date and personality information.
Please enter these information. You will also be asked to sign in or set up your Google™ account.
You can do this later but please note that some of the functions
of the phone like the Google Play Store depend on a Google
account.
6.2_ POWE RING OFF YOUR PHONE

Press and hold the power key to open the Phone options menu. Tap Power o. Tap OK.
6.3_ LOCKI NG AND UNLOC KING THE PHONE
Press the po wer key to lock the phone. When the screen is locked,
you can still receive messages and calls. If you leave your phone undisturbed for a while, the screen will lock automatically.
To unlock the phone, press the po wer key again. After
the screen has lite up, drag the lock icon to the unlock icon or take a long press to the star t key to unlock the phone.
Depending on your security set tings, the phone may ask
you for a PIN to unlock. Please note that this is NOT the PIN of your SIM card, but a code that can be assigned under System settings Security Screen lock.
6.4.1_ TELEPHONE OPERATING AND SEVER AL FEATURES
This phone includes among the normal keypad a capacitive touchscreen. It is not necessary to press the screen for it to work , a simple touch with yourngers is enough.
The operating system based on Android™ 4.2 Jelly Bean. So you can prot of a large number of oers from GooglePlay™-Store. Often several parallels between the menu navigation can be identied.
In the proper sense the R G310 is not a smart phone and that is the cause that you may be confronted with any restrictions in the performance and overview in use of some applications.

6.4.2_ OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
You can use the touchscreen and / or the navigation ring with
conrmation key to make entries. Least one is especially suita-
ble in use with gloves. In use of the touchscreen you have to make a short tip on the
icon to select. To browse the user interface you can swipe the
page in desired direction. If you navigate the user inter face by using the navigation ring
the selec ted menu items are appeared in a brighter color. To
conrm the required item push the conrmation key. Tap into the text box to activate the keyboard on screen. Now
the Android-qwerty- keypad will be opened. To return to the previous screen use the back key. To return to the main menu use the red key.
6.5_ CONNEC TING THE PHONE WITH A COMPU TER
You can access the Micro-SD card of the phone by any compatible computer via the USB cable. The card will be accessed as a mass storage device.
Connect your phone to the computer with the USB cable. When
the phone is connected to a computer for the rst time, the
computer will install the necessary drivers automatically. Tap turn on USB storage in the dialogue box that opens on the
phone and tap OK to conrm your choice. Your computer will
detect internal storage and the Micro-SD card as a removable
disc. Now you can transfer les from and to the Micro-SD card.
WARNING
While USB mass storage function is enabled, some functions of the phone may not be available.
7_D ISPLAY LAYOUT
After you sign in or when you p ower on the phone, by default the Home Screen opens:

7.1_STATUS BAR
The status bar appears at the top of ever y screen. On the right side, it displays phone status icons, such as the status of the battery, GPS, data or mobile connections and the clock.
On the lef t side, it displays notication icons, such as missed calls or received messages.

The Home Screen is your starting point to access all the features on your phone. It displays the three sided main menu and shows you all application icons. The index shows you on which side on the menu you are.

7.2_NOTIFICATION PANEL
Drag the Status Bar down to reveal the notication panel:
Your phone will notify you here when you receive a new message or when there is an upcoming event. The notication panel also informs you about alarms, settings and other relevant information.
Tap a notication to o pen a related applic ation.
To remove notications from the panel, swipe the notication to the left or to the right side of the panel.
Use the settings icon in the top right corner of the notication panel to access system settings.
To close the notication panel, drag the bot tom of the panel to the top of the screen.

8.1_ CALLS
8.1.1_MAKE A CALL
There are separate ways to make a call:
1. Dial number by using the physical keypad
2. Select the Telephone Icon on home screen Dial number by using the physical keypad or touchscreen Use the telephone call log Use the phone book
Then push the green button or the - symbol to dial up. A long press to the Green- button will activate the voice control.
Now you have to follow the phone instructions. Incorrec t entered numbers can be removed by pushing
the back key or the - symbol.
8.1.2_ACCEPT INCOMING CALLS
To accept incoming calls you have to push the green button or swipe the - symbol on the screen:
To accept a call swipe to the right side To reject a call swipe to the lef t side or Swipe up to send a previously nished SMS

8.1.3_CALL LOG
To show you the call log information press the green button or choose Phone
8.1.4_FURTHER INFORMATIONS
It is possible to use quick dialing, preferred group of persons and phone settings by pressing the option key.
8.2_ SMS AND MMS
8.2.1_WRITE SMS AND MMS
On home screen selec t Messaging and follow the instruc tions of the phone. To write a message you can use the physical keyboard or the Android-qwertz- keypad.
Select to attach a le. Now you can make a selection on your images, audio or video gallery.
8.2.2 _READ SMS AND MMS
On home screen selec t the menu for SMS/MMS. Then select the preferred conversation.
8.2.3_DELETE SMS AND MMS
Push the option key and in the menu option to delete message.
8.3_CAM ERA
8.3.1_TAKE PICTURES OR R ECORD A VIDEO
To activate camera select the camera on home screen. There are separate set ting options and recording options by tap the screen. Also you can use the navigation ring and conrm it with the conrmation key.
The picture or the video will be saved in Multimedia
Gallery.
8.4_TORCH
To power ON and power OFF the torch press and hold the torc h key.
8.5_CHANGE SETTINGS
Select Settings to change the phone settings. This function is protected to avoid an unwanted access with the factor y set PIN Code 12 34. To change this PIN Code select:

Security Modify setti ng menu password.
8.6_PROGRAMS AND APPLICATIONS
8.6.1_PROGRAM INSTALLATION
You can use your Google- account to install several programs and applications from GooglePlay™ - Store. These applications are stored in the icon More APP. They cannot be arranged as usual like in other Android-based mobile phones.
