Marathon Point-of-Use water heaters are built to the same specifications as our full-size Marathons. These point-of-use water heaters are great for applications where the larger water heaters won’t fit, or for special uses such as:

For the purpose of this test, water was heated in two heaters of the same size. Power was then cut-off to the heaters and temperatures were monitored until they fell below the temperature of 110°F. We recommend the heater be operated at factory settings. Water hotter than 120°F can cause scalding injuries.
These units are designed to meet or exceed ANSI (American National Standards Institute) requirements and have been tested according to D.O.E. test procedures and meet or exceed the energy effi­ciency requirements of NAECA, ASHRAE standard 90, ICC Code and all state energy effi­ciency performance criteria for energy consuming appliances.

The Marathon Point-of-Use Water Heater Warranty
RESIDENTIAL USE: LIFETIME / 6 YEARS*
Privately owned, single family dwellings – the tank is warranted not to leak “for as long as you own your home”. If the home is sold, the warranty reverts to fifteen years from the date of the installation and the second owner received coverage for the time remaining. Parts are warranted for 6 years from the date of manufacture or 5 years from the effective date, whichever is greater.
LIGHT DUTY COMMERCIAL USE: 10 YEARS /1 YEAR*
Apartments, condominiums, restrooms in office and commercial buildings, multifamily housing or any light duty commercial/industrial use – the tank is warranted for 10 years from the date of installation. Parts are warranted for 1 year from the date of manufacture.
