Rough Country Adjustable Joint Assembly
Joint Assembly Instructions
1. Locate appropriate hardware to assemble the joint. Those parts include: Washer, Center Ball, C-clip, Threaded ring, Set screw, End jam nut and Housing end.
2. Insert the clip in the groove on the housing. See Photo 1.
3. Install the washer. See Photo 2.

4. It is very important to install the bushing halves correctly. Photo 3 shows how the bushings interlock.

6. Install the center ball. See Photo 5.
7. Install other bushing half in adjustable end, making sure the bushings are seated properly and inter­locked .See Photo 6.

8. For ease of assembly, lightly grease the threads of the treaded ring and install the threaded ring in the hous­ing. See Photo 7.
9. Locate supplied end wrench. If allen bolts are not installed in the end tool, install at this time.
10. Tighten threaded ring making sure to tighten until the bushings have pressure on them. See Photo 8.
11. When the bushings are compressed, tighten to the next available slot in the threaded ring.

12. Install the set screw in the housing using a 3/32” allen wrench, locking the ring in place. See Photo 9.
13. Install the grease fitting using a 3/8 wrench in the housing and lightly grease. See Photo 10. Do not over grease the joint. The joint does not require to be fully packed with grease to function.

Maintenance Information
It is the ultimate buyers responsibility to have all bolts/nuts checked for tightness after the first 500 miles and then every 1000 miles. Wheel alignment steering system, suspension and driveline systems must be inspected by a qualified professional mechanic at least every 3000 miles.
