Operation
The VRBT100P is specially designed for Bluetooth® wireless compatible phones. You can use the VRBT100P with any compatible Bluetooth® phone that supports the hands­free Bluetooth® prole. Refer to your phone’s user guide for more information on Blue­tooth® wireless technology.
INSTALLING THE VRBT100P
Insert the VRBT100P into the 12V cigarette lighter/power socket of your vehicle, the RED LED of the Volume Down Button will light to indicate the VRBT100P has power. Make sure that the VRBT100P is fully inserted, and does not interfere with the normal operation of the vehicle, or any of its features and functions.
TURNING THE VRBT100P ON
To turn ON the VRBT100P press and hold the Multi­Function Button for 3 seconds. The BLUE LED of the Multi-Function Button will rst ash 3 times, then twice every 3 seconds while it searches for a paired cell phone, and then once every 3 seconds thereafter. If a paired cell phone is found, you will hear a series of
short beeps and the Multi-Function Button will ash 3
times every 3 seconds, indicating a connection to the paired cell phone.
TURNING THE VRBT100P OFF
While in Standby mode, remove it from the 12V cig­arette lighter/power socket, or press and hold the Multi-Function Button for 3 seconds, the RED Vol­ume + Button will ash 3 times, then the unit is OFF.
• In some vehicles, the cigarette lighter/power socket is still powered by the vehicle’s battery when the ve­hicle is turned off. In those cases, the vehicle’s battery will be dis­charged by the VRBT100P if it is connected to the 12V cigarette lighter/power socket. Contact the vehi­cle’s manufacturer for more information.
PAIRING THE VRBT100P WITH A PHONE
1.
Make sure that the Bluetooth® compatible phone is ON, and is within 18 ft. of the VRBT100P
2. Press and Hold the Multi-Function Button for 10 seconds, the BLUE and RED LEDs
will ash alternately. The VRBT100P is now in PAIRING mode.
3. Use the Bluetooth® Menu of the cell phone to search for a Bluetooth® device.
3. When the cell phone nds “VRBT100P”, choose “VRBT100P”.
4. Enter PIN Code “8888” and conrm to initiate the PAIRING.
5. After successful PAIRING, the blue LED will ash; PAIRING ends. If the PAIRING fails,
VRBT100P will go to Standby mode in 60 seconds.
6. To achieve the very best sound quality, after connecting wirelessly(pairing) the Blue­tooth hands-free speaker with your cell phone, adjust the volume, if required, by press­ing the up and down keys to the desired sound level.
• If VRBT100P is paired with the cell phone and is not ON, plug the VRBT100P into the vehicle’s 12V DC socket, then press and hold the The VRBT100P will automatically connect to the cell phone
• To achieve the very best sound quality, after connecting wirelessly(pairing) the Bluetooth hands-free speaker with your cell phone, adjust the volume, if required, by pressing the up and down keys to the desired sound level.
RECEIVING A PHONE CALL
When there is an incoming call:
• Press the Multi-Function Button once to answer the phone call.
•• If VRBT100P is not paired to a cell phone, it will not pick up the call.
REFUSE AN INCOMING CALL
When there is an incoming call you want to refuse, press and hold the for 3 seconds, the incoming phone call will be refused.
TO END A PHONE CALL
During a phone call, press and hold the current phone call. You will hear a series of beeps when the call ends.
