The Scanner Kit that is a new option for NAD30/40 series will be launched from April 1999. Before launching this option, a new SIB board (called “Scanner Control Board” in the parts catalog, #18, page 19) is required.

This is because the SIB board in the NAD machines produced before November 1998

Relationship between SIB and machine configuration is as follows.

All the above parts can be used in machines without the scanner option. However, for machines with the scanner option, ver.2 and 3 must be used.

As shown in the above table, ver.1 and 2 have the same part number and the SPC cannot control parts that have different suffixes. So, we recommend that you use version 3 parts when installing the scanner.

Our SPC has already stocked the version 3 parts which can be ordered from our SPC at any time. In the near future (1 or 2 months later), the part number for the SIB will change to version
