DETAILS OF MODIFICATION

Curled paper may sometimes cause a paper end feeler to detect paper end con dit ions although paper still remains. To correct this, the production machine has been modif ied as follows: (Fig. 1)

1. A pin has been extended to the pick-up bracke t.

2. A bearing and retaining ring have been added to the extended pin. Pin

illustration correction : Please correct the index number of the illustration (Fig. 2).

DETAILS OF MODIFICATION

When the ARDF unit is lifted quickly after copying in platen mode, the original may s ometimes be attracted to the ARDF belt due to static electricity. It may also sometimes fall into the copier rear side through the gap b etween the rear outer upper cover and the ARDF unit. To close the gap, a cushion seal has been stuck on the rear outer upper cover.

It was found that the leading edge of copies might sometimes be dirty. To correct this, we found that it is more effective to install the registration exit guide on the registration guide plate. To facilitate service, we have registered the assembly part ( A0793893) which includes the registration exit guide, registration guide, and vertical transport cushions.
