Sizes difficult to detect
It is difficult for the machine to detect the sizes of the following originals, so select the paper size manually.
• Originals with indexes, tags, or other projecting parts
• Transparent originals such as OHP transparencies or translucent paper
• Dark originals with a lot of text and drawings
• Originals which partially contain a solid image

Note
1
Take care to place originals after
any correction fluid and ink has completely dried. Not taking this precaution could cause marks on the exposure glass that will be copied onto paper.
Reference
For original sizes you can set, see p.9 “Originals” .
For example, to copy A3Kor 11" × 17"K originals with the Staple function selected:
Original Orientation
You can set the original orientation in the following ways.
This function is useful for copying torn originals or large originals.

Use this function when you want to copy A3K, B4 JISKor 11" × 17"K size originals. The machine rotates the copy image by 90° and you can make copies as you want. This is useful for copying large originals with the Staple, Duplex, Combine or Stamp functions.
Note
It is recommended to use this func-
tion together with the Auto Paper Select or the Preset Reduce/Enlarge function.
