DETAILS OF MODIFICATION

1) To prevent toner from building up on the oil supply pad, the pressure of the cleaning blade in t he
fusing unit has been increased. To increase the pressure, the screw hole of the fusing roller stay
(A) (the part number has not been changed.) has been widened and a philips pan head screw M5
x 25 (B) and an M5 washer (B) have been installed.

If do this modification in the field without replacing the fusing roller stay, refer to RTB-F21-0 13.

line.]

2. # 54399015 [This counter is initially set at 0001000 ± 100.]
The following problems have been reported concerning counter # 54395246. Therefore, counter # 54399015 has been registered.
A. If counter # 54395246 is supplied as a spare part, the customer engineer cannot distinguish between a used and a new counter since a

number like 9998920 ± 15 causes it to look like a used counter.
B. Some dealers have had problems with individuals who sell used copiers as new machines. If counter # 54395246 is supplied as a spare

part, used machines can be easily sold as new ones by replacing the total counter. This causes great confusion with the service activities
in the field and sales activities.

Therefore, please supply # 54399015 to those dealers who have had the problems mentioned above, and supply # 54395246 to the others.
And please keep the counters in stock that meet your dealer’s requirements.

DETAILS OF MODIFICATION

We have received reports from the field that very
occasionally pulley 38T (one way clutch) slipped from the
shaft of the fusing drive gear 53T so that a paper jam
occurred in the fusing unit.
Pulley 38T is now fixed by one hexagon headless set
screw instead of an E-ring. The one way clutch
mechanism has been removed from pulley 38T, so that the
pulley is better fixed to the fusing drive gear 53T.

been strengthened by changing the diameter of the bolt and the shape of the holder.
