M201
The M201 interface brings
undreamed comfort into the
world of your M51. It represents
the interface connection between
the M51 and M204 IR Receiver
or the M218 keypad.
This means that it is now
possible to mount the M51 inside
a cupboard or to communicate
with it from locations in your
living room where there is no
direct sight line to the M51. The
M204 is so sensitive that even
the weakest of signals is enough
to operate the M51 safely.

In addition to the straight M204
IR Receiver, the M218 keypad
can also be connected to the
M201. In this way, there is a
simple one-button operation of
the M51 available, which you can
integrate seamlessly into your
existing switch and socket
design. The in-built IR eye in the
keypad additionally allows the
use of a remote control.
So it’s no problem if you want to
connect the M218 keypad as well
as the high sensitivity M204 to
the M201 IR interface. Up to 3
M204s or M218s can be
connected in parallel.

Connection
Connection: M201 with the M51
The M201 interface is
connected using a non-
crossed 4-core telephone cable
with an RJ11 plug (6P4C
modular, see Fig. 1) to the M51
LINK socket on the rear of the
M51
A 2 metre cable is included.
If required, however, you can
use a cable up to a maximum of
100 meters in length.

Connection: M201 with the IR
receiver
The connection to the IP
receivers or the wall-mounted
remote control is done using a
screw-fixable Phoenix plugged
connector (see Fig. 2).
Revox recommends the use of
a 2-core screened cable
(microphone cable) where the
screening is used as an earth.
This cable may be a maximum
of 30 metres long.
Please refer to the rating plate
for the correct cabling:
VCC Positive voltage
Data IR Signal
GND Earth
The maximum number of IR
receivers for each M201 is 3.
In the case of using a IRreceiver M204, its jumper has to
be removed!
