instructions carefully and keep them safe.
Remove all packaging before use.

F IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

1 This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been supervised/instructed and
understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children unless they are
older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and cable out of reach of
children under 8 years.
2 Do not leave the appliance unattended while plugged in.
3 Do not wrap the cord around the unit. Check the cord regularly for any sign
damage.
4 If the supply cord of this unit becomes damaged, discontinue use
immediately and return the appliance to your nearest authorised
Remington® service dealer for repair or replacement in order to avoid a
hazard.
5 Warning: do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers or
basins or other vessels containing water.
6 When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since
the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the hairdryer is switched
o.
7 Warning – for additional protection the installation of a residual current
device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA is
advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask an electrician
for advice.
8 *For UK, Household Use Only. Currently, the tting in a bathroom of an
electrical socket suitable or capable of operating the dryer/straightener is
not permitted (see BS7671).
9 Do not plug or unplug the appliance with wet hands.

13 Only set the appliance down on a heat-proof surface.

C PRODUCT FEATURES

• Advanced ceramic coated plates infused with Keratin and Macadamia for
smooth radiant, healthy looking hair.

pressed or it is left on after 60 minutes.

F INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

• Before use, ensure the hair is clean, dry and tangle-free.

• Section the hair prior to styling. Style the lower layers rst.

• Plug the product into the mains power supply.

• When the styler is plugged in but not turned on a lock symbol will show in

the display window indicating the styler is in standby mode L.

• Press and hold the on button to switch on.

• The heat protection function is automatically activated when the styler is

turned on – as indicated by the pulsing icon.

• To turn this func tion o, press and hold the Heat Protection Sensor On/O
button.

• Start styling on lower temperatures rst. Select the appropriate temperature
for your hair t ype using the controls on the side of the product. ‘+’ increases
the temperature ‘-‘ decreases the temperature.

Temperature Hair Type

160°C - 180°C Fine

180°C - 200°C Medium

200°C - 230°C Thick

, Caution: the hottest temperatures should only be used by experienced

stylists.

• The temperature display will stop ashing once the desired temperature is
reached.

• Working on one section at a time, run the straightener through the entire
length of the hair without stopping.

• If the Heat Protection Sensor is on during styling, it will monitor moisture in
the hair and continually optimise the temperature to prevent damage
without compromising on results. These changes are not displayed by the
straightener and happen quickly and automatically during styling.

• After use, press and hold the o but ton for two seconds to turn o then
unplug the appliance.

, Temperature Lock Function

• Set the desired temperature by pressing +/- buttons and lock the
temperature controls by pressing the ‘-‘ button for 2 seconds. A ‘L’ symbol
will appear next to the temperature.

• To unlock the temperature controls, press and hold the ‘-‘ button again for 2
seconds.

, Temperature Boost Function

• Hold the ‘+’ button for 2 seconds and the temperature will boost to 230°C.

, Hinge Lock for Storage

• The plates can be shut together for easy storage:

• To lock, push the hinge lock up to the locked position.

• To unlock, pull the hinge lock down to the unlocked position.

, NOTE: Do not heat the unit in the locked position.

C CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Unplug the appliance and allow to cool.

• Wipe all the surfaces with a damp cloth.

• Don’t use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.

H ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

To avoid environmental and health problems due to hazardous
substances in electrical and electronic goods, appliances marked with
this symbol must not be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste,
but recovered, reused or recycled.

be corrected by replacement or repair at our option provided the product is used
and maintained in accordance with the instructions.
