LOCKING SWITCH
This professional straightening iron has
a combination LOCKING and ON/OFF switch. When the straightener is switched ON, it will automatically UNLOCK . To close and LOCK the straightener, push the switch to ON, squeeze and push the switch to OFF; it will automatically LOCK .
Hold unit only by the handle; other areas get hot when in use.
DO NOT use an abrasive cleaning fluid or material to clean the plates, as damage will occur. Use warm water and a soft cloth.
DO NOT scratch the surface of the plates, as this will diminish the effectiveness of the non-stick Teflon
The red indicator light is for power supply indications only – this is not to show when the unit is ready to use.
DO NOT get the unit too close to scalp,
face, ears, neck, or skin.
After use, allow unit to cool completely before storing.

STRAIGHTENING YOUR HAIR
Take extra care when using a Professional Straightening iron. It is important to set the correct temperature for your hair type prior to styling to prevent damage to the hair.
HOW TO GET PROFESSIONAL RESULTS WITH YOUR STRAIGHTENER
This unique straightener has been designed with multiple temperatures, providing very high heat in the Hl (25-30) settings for straightening very coarse thick hair, and very low heat in the LO (1-6) settings for straightener extra fine, damaged or dry hair. It also provides a full range of heat set between LO and HI, for all normal textures and thicknesses of hair.
TEST A SMALL SECTION OF HAIR BEFORE USING; THEN ADJUST TEMPERATURE DEPENDING ON TYPE OF HAIR.

HEAT SETTINGS
HI (25-30)
These settings are very hot. Use only if hair is very coarse and highly resistant, but in good condition.
MED/HI (19-24)
Use heat settings in this range for dense, hard-to-straighten hair in good condition.
MEDIUM (13-18)
Use heat settings in this range for thick, wavy hair in good condition.
LO/MED (7-12)
LO (1-6)
Use LO heat setting for very fine, fragile, light-colored hair.
Hair should be completely dried before using a straightening iron.
Make sure the locking switch is in the unlocked /ON position.
Plug in the unit. Select desired temperature setting. Start with a low setting and gradually
increase heat as needed based on hair type.
The ON indicator will glow red, and in a few minutes it will be ready for use.
To make styling easier, use clips to section your hair: top, sides, and back.
Always start from the back of your neck, continue over the sides, and finish with the front section.
Take a small section of hair and pull it taut. Holding the appliance with the other hand, start at the roots and clamp the hair firmly between the plates.
With the plates clamped together, run the straightener down the entire length of hair, from roots to ends, without stopping.
Repeat until the desired amount of straightening has been achieved.
FOR A FLIP: Move straightener down and out at ends. FOR A CURL: Move straightener down and under at ends
WARNING: The plates of this professional straightener will get very hot within a few seconds. come in contact with the skin once it has been turned on.

If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
