Plugging in for power
AC OUTLET POWER SUPPLY: 120 V ~ 60 Hz
The AC power plug is polarized (one blade is wider than the other) and only fi ts into AC power outlets one way. If the plug will
not go into the outlet completely, turn the plug over and try to insert it the other way. If it still does not fi t, contact a qualifi ed electrician to change the outlet, or use a different one. Do not attempt to bypass this safety feature.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY INFORMATION
• Apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects fi lled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
• Always leave suffi cient space around the product for ventilation. Do not place product in or on a bed, rug, in a bookcase or cabinet that may prevent air fl ow through vent openings.
• Do not place lighted candles, cigarettes, cigars, etc. on the product.
• Connect power cord only to AC power source as marked on the product.
• Care should be taken so that objects do not fall into the product.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the cabinet. This product does not contain customer serviceable components.
• The marking information is located at the bottom of apparatus.
• To be completely disconnect the power input, the mains plug adaptor of apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains.
• Mains plug is a disconnect device. The mains plug should not be obstructed OR should be easily accessed during intended use.
• The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation openings with items such as newspaper, table-cloths, curtains etc.
• No naked fl ame sources, such as
prong. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fi t into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
• Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
• Only use attachments/accessories specifi ed by the manufacturer.
• Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specifi ed by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/ apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.

Important battery precautions

Refer to the Clock section for instructions on properly setting the Clock.
Battery back-up operation
• This clock radio is equipped with a time keeping system that is powered with battery (CR2032) (not included). The power failure protection circuit will not operate unless battery is installed.
• When normal household power is interrupted, or AC line cord is unplugged, the battery will power the clock radio to keep track of time and alarm settings programmed into memory.
• Normal operation will resume after AC power is restored so you will not have to reset the time or the alarm.
Note: It is recommended to replace the batteries at least once per year even if no power failures have occurred.
To install the battery:
1. Remove the screw on the battery door at the bottom of the unit.
2. Slide the battery door in the direction shown below.
3. Take note on the battery polarity and place a CR2032 battery inside.
4. Replace the battery door and install the screw.
Power failure indicator
If you have not installed the button cell battery in the product, or the battery runs out while AC power is disconnected, the clock and alarm settings will be lost. After AC power is reconnected, the time 12:00 will be shown on the LCD screen to indicate that power was interrupted and you should readjust the time settings.

“Are you observing daylight savings time at this moment? If so, fi rst see “Select daylight saving” section below.
Set clock manually
1. Press and hold MODE until the year fl ashes on the display.
2. Press / to set the value. The value increases or decreases quickly when you press and hold the button.
3. Press MODE to confi rm. Repeat step 2 to set month, day, 12H/24H, hour and minute.
4. To save and exit the date and time setting mode, press MODE.
Select daylight saving
This convenient feature provides a simple way to change your clock when daylight savings time starts or ends.
1. Press and hold to toggle between daylight saving on and off.

shows on the display when you turn on the daylight saving time.
Listening to the radio
To turn on or off radio:
• Press
to turn on/off the radio. Radio frequency and radio band icon will be shown for a while and then the clock time will be shown.
To select radio band (AM/FM):
• Press BAND to select radio band. The selected radio band icon lights on the display.
To tune frequency:
• Use the tuning knob to tune the frequency. The selected frequency shows on the display.
FM Antenna
This unit is equipped with an FM antenna at the back. Uncoil the antenna to its full length for best reception. Tape the end of the antenna onto the wall if possible to improve reception.
AM antenna
A built-in ferrite rod antenna eliminates the need for an outside antenna for AM reception. Rotating the unit slightly may improve reception of distant AM stations.
Set wake time
1. Press and hold AL. TIME until the hour of alarm 1 fl ashes and lights on the display.
2. Press / to set the value. The value increases or decreases quickly when you press and hold the button.
3. Press AL. TIME to confi rm and move to minute.
4. Press
/ to set the value. The value increases or decreases quickly when you press and hold the button.
5. Press AL. TIME to confi rm. Press / to select weekday settings
as follows:
1-1: Once per week 1-5: Monday to Friday 1-7: Whole week 6-7: Saturday and Sunday

Stop the Alarm Sounding
To silence the wake function momentarily:
• Press SNOOZE/SLEEP. The wake icon ( 1, 2, 1 or 2) will fl ash and the alarm will sound again when the snooze period (9 minutes) is over. Snooze function can be used repeatedly up to 30 minutes. After this, the wake function will turn off until the next day.
To stop the wake function:

. The alarm will be on again the following day or the next week, depends on the alarm weekday settings.
Sleep function
To set the sleep time:
1. When listening to radio, press SNOOZE/SLEEP repeatedly to cycle among the sleep time available (90min, 60min, 30min and 15min). When you fi rst set the sleep time, the sleep time is default to 90 min.
2. When the desired sleep time is selected, release SLEEP and wait for about 5 seconds, the sleep time is now set. The icon SLP lights on the display.
To change sleep time:
• Press SLEEP repeatedly to select another sleep time.
To cancel the sleep mode:
• Press
to cancel the sleep mode.
To select line in mode:
1. Connect your auxiliary source (e.g. mp3 player) to the LINE IN jack at the back of the unit with an audio cable (not supplied).
2. If necessary, press
to turn on the unit. Adjust the auxiliary player to mid-range volume and adjust the master volume on the unit. Do not turn the volume of the auxiliary player too high as this may affect the sound quality. For other playback operations, control them on your auxiliary player.
Line in
To view alarm 1 time or alarm 2 time, press AL. TIME.
To listen to the radio, remove the audio cable from the LINE IN jack.
A time projector is located on the left side of the unit. Clock time can be projected onto ceilings or walls in a darkened environment for easy reference. The distance between the projector and the projected surface should be within 3 to 9 feet.
Rotate the FOCUS to adjust the focus of the projected image.
Press PROJECTION ON/OFF to turn on or off the projector.
