Useaminimumwiresizeof No.10copperwire protected
with a 30 Amp. fuse or circuit breaker for both 208Y/120 Volt and 120/240Volt electrical systems.
Donot use
aluminumwiringtoconnectyourcounterunit
to thehouseholdcircuit. Beforeinstallingthe counterunit or movingittoanother
location,havetheelectricianverify:

Cuttheopeningin the countertop. Besureto maintain cutout dimensionsand minimum clearancesas shown on previouspage.
To minimizechipping of the counter-
topyoucanapply maskingtapebeforeyou makethecut.
Install an approvedjunction box where it will be easily
reachedthroughthefront of thecabinetwherethecoun­ter unit will be located. The counter unit has 3 feet of
conduit.
EMoreinstalling the unit in the cutout, attachfoam”tape (shipped with unit) around the bottom surface of the
glass,neartheedgeof themaintop. Installthe counter unit in thecutout opening.Note:!fthe
unit is being installed in a blind counter (one with no cabinetopening below),wire connections mustbe made beforeputting the unit into the
cutout.
To
attachthe unit to the counter,insertthesideretainers
in the slot on each side of the unit. Usethe screwsand
washerssupplied to attach unit to counter as shown in
figure 3.

Whenmakingthewireconnections,usetheentirelength ofconduitprovided(3ft).Thecondkdimu$tnotbecut.
Connectthe redandMackleadsfrom the counteruni conduitto thecorrespondingleadsinthejunctionbox.
The bare groundwireintheconduitisconnected to the counter unit frame. Connect the other end of this wire to a properly grounded cold water pipe or use another approved grounding method.
A white
(neutral)wire is not neededfor this unit. The
white lead from the household electrical supply can be taped and terminated in the junction box.
