PREPARATION
POWER SOURCES
You can power the TV from any of three power sources:
• internal battery power (using four D batteries (not supplied)
• standard AC power (using an optional AC adapter)
• vehicle battery power (using an optional DC power cord)
Internal Battery Power
Your TV requires four D batteries for power. For the best performance and longest life, we recommend RadioShack alkaline batteries.
Cautions:
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.
Follow these steps to install batteries.
1. Move the antenna out of the way and push and lift up the battery cover's buckle on the back of the TV to open the battery compartment cover.
2. Install four fresh alkaline batteries as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside.
Caution:
Installing batteries incorrectly
can damage the TV.
3. Close the battery cover and push down the buckle to secure the battery cover.
Note:
The TV can operate for about 9 hours with alkaline batteries. When the sound level lowers or the picture becomes unstable, replace the batteries.
