Your RCA 5-Inch Black and White TV is a compact, portable, all-in-one audio/video entertainment system. You can use it to enjoy music from your favorite CDs as well as TV and radio programs almost anywhere you go — at home, in your car, or outdoors.

Brightness Control — lets you adjust the picture when it is too dark or too bright.

External Antenna Jack — lets you connect a standard TV antenna for improved reception.

4 Times Oversampling — improves the CD's sound by shifting ultrasonic noise to a frequency four times the standard 44.1 kHz sample rate, where it can be removed by an analog filter.
Repeat Play — lets you automatically repeat a single track or an entire CD.

You can power your TV from:
• internal batteries
• standard AC power
• a vehicle's cigarette-lighter socket.
Note: Connecting an AC or DC adapter automatically disconnects internal batteries.

Your TV uses nine D batteries (not supplied). For the best results, we recommend RadioShack alkaline batteries.
You can also use rechargeable nickel­cadmium batteries. If you use rechargeable nickel-cadmium batteries, you must charge/ recharge them with a battery charger (both items available at your local RadioShack store).

3. Slide the battery cover all the way back until it locks securely.
Note: The TV can operate for about 8 hours with alkaline batteries. When the sound level lowers or the picture becomes unstable, replace the batteries.

You can power the TV from a standard AC outlet.
Caution: You must use a power source that supplies 12–14 volts
DC and delivers at least 1 Amp. Its center tip must be set to positive and its plug must fit the TV’s an adapter that does not meet these specifications could damage the TV or the adapter.

Follow these steps to install the batteries.
1. Turn the TV over and press the arrow marks on the battery compartment cover. Then slide the cover off in the direction of the arrows.
2. Install nine alkaline batteries as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside the compartment.
Caution: Installing batteries incorrectly can damage the TV.
