PREPARATION
POWER SOURCES
You can power the TV from:
• Internal battery power (using ten C batteries, not included)
• Standard AC power (using the supplied AC adapter)
• Vehicle battery power (using the supplied DC power cord)
Using Internal Battery Power
Your TV requires ten C batteries (not supplied) for power. For the best performance and longest life, we recommend alkaline batteries, available at your local RadioShack store.
Cautions:
• Use only fresh batteries of the required size and recommended type.
• Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of different capacities.
If you use rechargeable nickel-
Note:
cadmium batteries, you need a separate battery charger, available at your local RadioShack store.
Follow these steps to install batteries.
1. Carefully turn the TV upsidedown and gently press the arrow on the battery compartment cover, then push the cover in the direction of the arrow.
2. Install ten C batteries in the battery compartment as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and –) marked inside.
Caution:
with incorrect polarity can damage your TV.
3. Replace the cover and insure the tab on the cover locks into the slot on the case.
Notes:
• When the TV picture shrinks, replace (or recharge) the batteries.
• Battery life can vary greatly, depending on how you use your TV.
