Rising energy costs, regulations and utility incentives have
increased the demand for dual-fuel appliances. Many state
and local regulatory agencies require “dual-fuel” capability for
critical facilities, such as hospitals and schools, to ensure
emergency operation. Until now, the typical equipment solution
for domestic hot water supply and hydronic heating have been
gas/oil water heaters and boilers, or propane-air blenders, both
of which are costly to install and maintain.
