Adjustingthedisplaybrightness
1.PressthePOWERbuttononce.
TheBacklightLevelcontrolisdisplayed.
2.Usingtherotarycontrol,adjustthebrightnesslevelas appropriate.
3.ToswitchthecolorpalettebetweenDay(verybright)andNight (dark)modes,selectMENU>DisplaySetup>Palette.
Simulatormode
TheSimulatormodeenablesyoutopracticeoperatingyourdisplay withoutdatafromaGPSantenna,radarscanner,AISunit,or shnder.
Thesimulatormodeisswitchedon/offintheSystemSetupMenu.
Youcanalsoadjustthevesselspeedinsimulatormode.Thisis usefulforquicklymovingtodifferentareasofthechart,forexample.
Note:RaymarinerecommendsthatyoudoNOTusethe simulatormodewhilstnavigating.
Note:ThesimulatorwillNOTdisplayanyrealdata,includingany safetymessages(suchasthosereceivedfromAISunits).
Note:AnysystemsettingsmadewhilstinSimulatormodearenot transmittedviaSeaTalktootherequipment.

Manycommonfunctionscanbeaccessedusingthetouchscreen
-forexample,allsoftkeyoperations.However,therearesome functionsthatcannotbeperformedusingthetouchscreen.There mayalsobesituations(suchasroughseaconditions)whenitisnot appropriatetousethetouchscreen.Inthesesituations,Raymarine stronglyrecommendsthatyouenablethetouchlock,andusethe physicalkeystooperateyourmultifunctiondisplay.

Basictouchscreenoperations
Placingandmovingthecursorusingtouch
1.Touchthescreenatanypositiononthescreentoplacethe cursorthere.
Selectingtheactivewindowusingtouch
Withapagefeaturingmultipleapplicationsdisplayed:
1.Tapanywhereinsidetheapplicationyouwanttomakeactive.
Agreenborderappearsaroundtheapplication,indicatingthatit isactive.Thesoftkeyswillchangetodisplaytherelevantoptions forthatapplication.
Lockingthetouchscreen
Withthehomescreendisplayed:
1.SelecttheT ouchLockicon.
Itchangescolortoindicatethatthetouchscreenisdisabled.All functionsarestillavailableusingthebuttonsandsoftkeys.
Unlockingthetouchscreen
Withthehomescreendisplayed:
1.UsetheUniControltohighlighttheT ouchLockicon.
2.PresstheOKbutton.
TheT ouchscreenisenabled.
Applications
Chartapplication—providesa2D or3Dgraphicalviewofyourchartsto helpyounavigate.Waypoint,route,and trackfunctionsenableyoutonavigate toaspeciclocation,buildandnavigate routes,orrecordwhereyou’vebeen. UpgradeyourchartsusingCompactFlash chartcardstoenjoyhigherlevelsofdetail and3Dviews.
Fishnderapplication—withasuitable DigitalSounderModule(DSM)and transducer,youcanusetheshnder applicationtohelpyouaccurately distinguishbetweendifferentsizesof sh,bottomstructure,andunderwater obstacles.Y oucanalsoviewseadepth andtemperaturedata,andmarkpointsof interest,suchasshingspotsorwrecks.
Radarapplication—withasuitableradar scanner,youcanusetheradarapplication totracktargetsandmeasuredistances andbearings.Anumberofautomaticgain presetsandcolormodesareprovidedto helpyougetthebestperformancefrom yourradarscanner.

Engineapplication—enablesyouto viewinformationintheformofgauges anddigitaldata,fromupto3compatible engines.
Dataapplication—viewsystemand instrumentdataonyourmultifunction display,forarangeofcompatible instruments.
CourseDeviationIndicator(CDI) application—providesagraphical
representationofyourvessel’scourseina “rollingroad”format,alongwithnavigation data.
Siriusaudioapplication—(North Americaonly).Useyourmultifunction displaytocontrolaconnectedSirius SatelliteRadioreceiver.
Weatherapplication—(NorthAmerica only).Withasuitableweatherreceiver connectedtoyourmultifunctiondisplay , theweatherapplicationoverlayshistorical, live,andforecastedweathergraphicsona worldmap.
Videoapplication—viewavideoor camerasourceonyourmultifunction display.Withtheoptionalvideocable accessory,youcanswitchbetween4 videosources,andoutputwhatyousee onyourmultifunctiondisplaytoanexternal display.

Alarms

Alarmsareraisedbysystemfunctions,andalsoexternalequipment connectedtoyourmultifunctiondisplay .
Whenanalarmsounds,amessagedialogisdisplayedonyour multifunctiondisplay,andanynetworkeddisplays.Thedialog explainsthereasonforthealarm.
Youcancongurethebehaviourofthefollowingsystemand applicationalarmsusingtheAlarmsSetupMenu:

Cancellingalarms
1.PresstheACKNOWLEDGEsoftkey.
Manoverboard
Ifyouloseapersonorobjectoverboard,youcanusetheMan Overboard(MOB)functiontomarktheposition.
TheMOBfunctionisavailableatalltimes,regardlessofwhich applicationisrunning.
WhenMOBisactivated,analertmessageappearson-screen,and anemergencywaypointiscreated.Abearingtothewaypointis alsoprovided.Thealertandemergencywaypointalsoappearon anynetworkeddisplaysatthesametime.
Activatingthemanoverboardfunction
1.PressandholdtheWPTS/MOBbuttonfor3seconds.
Thenormalchartapplicationisresettothesamesettingsthat ithadbeforetheMOBalarmwasraised.
Note:T oobtainaMOBposition,yourmultifunctiondisplaymust haveaGPSpositionx.
CancellingaMOBalarm
1.PressandholdtheWPTS/MOBbuttonforfourseconds.
OncetheMOBalarmiscleared:
