NOTICE

Ramsey kits are designed for use with Ramsey Winches only.

Use or sales of kits for other winches or applications voids warranty.

WARNING

Ramsey offers mounting kits and winches for various vehicles. In crash tests on a limited number of automotive manufacturer's vehicles, winches/mounting kits, which have been properly mounted, have not interfered with air bag operation.

The user/customer, or their installer, must verify that the mounting kit does not interfere with the factory air bag sensors, which must not be relocated or modified in any way.

The user/customer should follow the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations and those of a qualified mechanic to determine if the winch/mounting kit might interfere with the air bag operation. The user/customer should then determine the suitability of a winch/mounting kit on a particular vehicle.

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE'S AIR BAG SYSTEM MAY NOT OPERATE PROPERLY IF THE WINCH/MOUNTING KIT IS NOT MOUNTED IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE VEHICLE MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATIONS.

DO NOT ATTACH TOW HOOK TO ANY PART OF MOUNTING KIT UNLESS INSTRUCTED TO DO SO.

DO NOT SUBSTITUTE ATTACHING HARDWARE ITEMS (BOLTS, NUTS, OR WASHERS).

READ AND UNDERSTAND WINCH OWNER'S MANUAL BEFORE INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF WINCH. SEE WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS.

IMPORTANT NOTES!

1. RIGHT AND LEFT HAND DIRECTIONS AS IF SEATED BEHIND STEERING WHEEL.

2. ALL FASTENING HARDWARE MUST BE LOOSELY ASSEMBLED UNTIL DIRECTED TO TIGHTEN.

Safety Precautions

To Guard Against Possible Injury.....

A minimum of five wraps of cable around the drum barrel is necessary to hold the rated load. Cable clamp is not designed to hold the load.

A. Secure Quick Mount™ locking pin into place before starting winching operation.

B. Use only locking pin #448097.

C. Front mount receiver is for use with the Quick Mount™ winch only. Do not use for towing.

CAUTION: Read and understand winch owner’s manual before installation and operation of winch. See Safety Precautions.

Quick Mount™ Platform Installation

The Quick Mount™ is solely and exclusively designed for vehicle mounted, non-industrial applications. All other applications will void warranty.

The Quick Mount™ must be front mounted with a front receiver hitch available from Ramsey for selected vehicles. For rear mounting of the QM 5000, any standard Class III rear receiver hitch may be used. For rear mounting of the QM 8000 or QM 9000, a SurePull Class III rear receiver or equivalent with a 5,000 lb. minimum weight carrying rating must be used. Receivers must not be recessed more than 1-1/4 inches from bumper face.

For front mounting, route quick connect battery power lead (kit #251053-5’ lg.) through grille, leaving connector on outside and connect red lead to positive(+) terminal and black lead to negative(-) terminal of battery. Secure cable under hood with cable ties.

For rear mounting connect battery power lead (#251021-20’ lg. or #251054-24’ lg.) as instructed above. Secure cable under vehicle away from moving parts and exhaust system. Terminate routing near the center of the vehicle at the rear. BE SURE BATTERY CABLES ARE NOT DRAWN TAUT ACROSS ANY SURFACES WHICH COULD POSSI-

BLY DAMAGE THEM.

Secure Quick Mount™ in the receiver with the Ramsey locking pin. Connect quick disconnect from Quick Mount™ winch to battery power lead. Plug remote switch into receptacle on solenoid assembly.
