Two-Way Speaker Selector Switch

OWNER’S MANUAL — Please read before using this equipment.

Your RadioShack Two-Way Speaker Selec­tor Switch is designed with non-shorting con­tacts to connect two pairs of stereo speaker
systems. The switch lets you select one or
both connected speaker systems, without
overloading the transistor output stages.

Caution:

This speaker selector switch is lim­ited to a maximum of 10 watts/channel, con­tinuous music power.

SELECTING A MOUNTING LOCA­TION

Select a location that is:

• within reach of the speaker wires

• convenient for switch operation

• suitable for mounting the selector switch
using the supplied machine screws

MOUNTING

Position the speaker selector switch on the
selected mounting location, then screw the
four supplied machine screws into the selec­tor's screw holes to secure it in place.

CONNECTIONS

You can connect the speaker selector switch
between an a mplif ier's speaker output term i­nals and the speaker input terminals.

Note:

Your local RadioS hack store sells the

necessary speaker wire.

(under the washer).

Caution:

When using stranded wires, twist
them so all strands contact only the app ropri­ate terminals. If loose strands touch nearby
terminals, the system might not operate
properly.

Use a screwdriver to loosen and tighten the

Be sure to follow proper polarity (–
to – and + to +) when making connections.

2. Connect the amplifier's right speaker

and tighten its screws.

3. Connect the first speaker system's left
and right negative (–) and positive (+)
terminals to the corresponding

switch and tighten its screws.

4. Connect the second speaker system's
left and right negative (–) and positive
(+) terminals to the correspo nding

To connect speaker wire to a speaker selec­tor switch terminal, wrap the stripped end of

In the event of a product defect during the warranty period, take the product and the RadioShack sales receipt as proof
of purchase date to any RadioShack store. RadioShack will, at its option, unless otherwise provided by law: (a) correct
the defect by product repair with out charg e for part s and labor ; (b) repl ace the product with one of the sam e or simila r
design; or (c) refund the pur cha s e pr ice. A ll re place d pa rts a nd p rod ucts, and products on which a refu nd is m ad e, be ­come the property of RadioSh ack. New or recond itioned parts and pro ducts m ay be used in the pe rformance of war­ranty service. Repaired or replaced parts and products are warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period.
Y ou will be charged for repair or replacement of the product made after the expiration of the warranty period.
This warranty does not cover: (a) damag e o r fai lure cau sed by or attributable to acts of God , ab use , a cciden t, m isuse,
improper or abnormal usage, f ailure to fo llow i nstruct ions, impr oper i nstallati on or mainten ance, al tera tion, lig htning o r
other incidence of exce ss voltage or curre nt; (b) any repairs oth er than those pr ovided by a RadioS hack Authorized
Service Facility; (c) consumables such as fuses or batteries; (d) cosmetic damage; (e) transportation, shipping or insur­ance costs; or (f) costs of product removal, installation, set-up service adjustment or reinstallation.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
