Listening Safely
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
To protect your hearing, follow these guidelines when
you use the headset.
• Set the phone’s volume to the lowest setting before
you begin listening. After you begin listening, adjust
the volume to a comfortable level.
• Do not listen at extremely high volume levels.
Extended high- volume l istening can lead to permanent hearing loss.
• Once you set the volume, do not increase it. Over
time, your ears adapt to the volume l evel, so a volume level that does not cause discomfort might still
damage your hearing.
Traffic Safety
Do not use the headset with your cellular telephone when
operating a motor vehicle or riding a bicycle in or near
traffic. Doing so can creat e a tra ffic hazard and could be
illegal in s ome areas.
If you use the headset with your cellular telephone while
riding a bicycle, be very careful. Do not listen to a continuous broadcas t. Even thoug h so me ea rphones /headp hone s
let you hear some outside so unds when listen ing at normal
volume levels, they still can present a traffic hazard.
Your RadioShack HS-1903 Earpiece with Boom Microphone, Noise Cancellation, Volume Control and Microphone Mute is an example of superior design and
craftsmanship. The following suggestions will help you
care for your headset so you can enjoy it for years.
• Keep the headset dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry immediately.
• Handle the headset gently and carefully. Don’t drop
it.
• Use and store the headset on ly in normal temperature environments.
• Keep the headset away from dust and dirt.
• Wipe the headset with a damp cloth occasionally t o
keep it looking new.
Modifying or tampering with the headset’s internal components can cause a malfunction and might invalidate
your headset’s warranty. If your heads et is not performing as it should, take it to your local RadioShack store for
