Terminal Buttons
Your RadioShack High Power Stereo Speaker Control Center lets you connect up to four separate pairs of speakers to your stereo receiver/amplifier. The control center is especially convenient if you have speaker set s in different rooms an d want to t urn them on and of f inde­pendently.
The control center lets you use one to four sets of spe ak­ers at a time, and is designed to operat e with a stere o re­ceiver/amplifier that has a maximum of 100 watts per channel, and with speak er sys tems that have a min imum impedance of 8 ohms (see “Impedance Chart” on Page 2).
Press open the insert your receiver/amplifier’s positive (+) wires into the positive (red) terminals, and negative (–) wires in the neg­ative terminals. Then press the tabs to close them.

MAKING THE CONNECTIONS
The control center divides the po wer from your receiver/ amplifier differently to its speaker terminals. (This is espe­cially noticeable when you connect only one pair of speakers. If you connec t mo r e tha n on e pai r of s pea ke rs , see “Impedance Char t” on Page 2 to select the best ter­minals to connect.) F or the best performance, make t he connections based on how frequently you use each set of speakers.
• Connect the most frequently used speakers to the terminals marked
• Connect the speak ers you use leas t often to the te r­minals marked

• For the best res ults, we recommend 18-gauge, two conductor speake r wire (not supplied) for most con­nections. If you plan to locate the speakers further than 80 feet from the control center, use a heavier gauge of wire.
Your local RadioSh ack store carries a wide selection of speaker wire and accessories.

IMPEDANCE CHART
Impedance is a measureme nt of the load plac ed on your receiver/amplifier by the speakers. The load placed on your receiver/amplifier from the control center will vary depending on how many pairs of speakers you turn on at one time, and on which sp eakers you tu rn on. The chart below shows the impedance for all possible combinations of 8-ohm speakers.
