ACE 1160

The QSC-ACE 1100 Series Composite Ultra-Wide
Dispersion All Weather Loudspeakers are highoutput, two-way speaker systems housed in
lightweight, all-weather carbon fiber enclosures.
Their compact size and extremely wide dispersion
pattern make them an excellent choice for
applications requiring broad coverage, including
high-end A / V environments, underhung downfills,
stage monitors, front fills, and outdoor venues
such as theme parks.
These two-way, ported enclosures incorporate
a 1.5" exit neodymium compression driver mounted
on an ultra-wide dispersion waveguide. This
compression driver/waveguide combination may
be rotated 90° to provide a flexible 160° X 50°
nominal coverage pattern regardless of the
cabinet’s orientation. A 10" LF transducer provides
powerful transient bass response. Suspension
hardware options include a speaker stand mount,
yoke, and integral “L-track” handles. Four 1.5mm
stainless steel bolts are included with the ACE CD-160.
Crossover configurations include passive
(1160 WR) and bi-amplified (1160 AWR) models.
The CD-160 is designed for bi-amplified use and
requires an external crossover.
QSC-ACE enclosures incorporate Composilite™,
a patented core composite technology that yields
superior acoustic properties, lighter weight, and
outstanding weather resistance compared to
conventional enclosure materials. Multiple skins
of carbon fiber are layered over a phenolic honeycomb
core to form a rigid, seamless enclosure. The
extreme stiffness of composite construction prevents
flexing of the enclosure walls, significantly
reducing transmission loss due to wall vibration. The
result is reduced cabinet resonance, increased
low-frequency output, and greater sonic accuracy.
Furthermore, the enclosure’s light weight
translates to safer rigging and reduced handling
costs. Installation accessories and array kits are
readily available.
