This model has multiple functions. It also works as a Step-Up Transformer
as well as a Step-Down Transformer. By default it comes preset for StepDown Transformer Functionality.
For Step-Down Transformer Use:
In order to use this unit as a Step-Down Voltage Transformer, set the input
switch at the back of the transformer to 220V. Then you will get 110-120
Volts on the outlet(s) at the front of the transformer.
When using as a Step-Down Transformer the transformer will take 220-240
Volts input from the household outlet and Step-Down that voltage to 110120 Volts. This is the setting required when using American, Canadian,
Mexican equipment IN Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, New Zealand,
Germany or other 220-240 Volt countries.
For Step-Up Transformer Use:
To use this unit as a Step-Up Voltage Transformer, set the input switch at
the back of the transformer to 110V. Then you will get 220-240 Volts on
the outlet(s) at the front of the transformer.
When using as a Step-Up Transformer, the transformer will take 110-120
Volt input from the household outlet and Step-Up that voltage to 220-240
Volts. This is the setting required when using European, Asian, African
equipment here in the USA or other 110-120 Volt countries like Canada,
Mexico, etc.
