Installation
This lter housing must be installed on solid level ground. Vibration mounts can be used
to reduce the risk of tank rupture if the unit is being mounted near heavy machinery.
A pressure relief valve should be installed before the inlet to protect the system from pressure surges.
The use of union ttings before and aer the unit is advised to allow for unit removal
during servicing.
All attached pipe work should be independently supported and should not induce any
load on the lter housing.
INSTALLING THE UNIT
1. Connect the water inlet pipe work to the inlet ange.
2. Connect the water outlet ange to the outlet pipe work.
3. Install the drain valve in the drain port on the underside of the unit.
4. Install the pressure gauge and vent valve to the vent port on the cap of the unit.
5. Undo the clamp and remove clamp.

Dierential pressure
It is important to regularly check the pressure dierential across the unit during operation. Operating above the recommended pressure will aect the ow rate and reduce the eciency. When the dierential pressure exceeds 1.10kg/cm2 it is time to replace the bag lter. (See pg.6)
If the pressure dierential drops suddenly, cease operation and isolate the unit, purge
the water from the unit and check the unit thoroughly for stress or fractures. Sudden
pressure uctuations can cause seal failure and/or lter rupture.
A lack of dierential pressure indicates that no ltration is taking place. When ltration
is taking place the inlet pressure should be slightly higher than the outlet pressure.
Dierential pressure will gradually increase as the lters start to retain more debris. If a lack of dierential pressure is detected, stop the system and check for seal leaks or
housing ruptures.
