Installation
This lter housing must be installed on solid level ground. Vibration mounts can be used
to reduce the risk of tank rupture if the unit is being mounted near heavy machinery.
A pressure relief valve should be installed before the inlet to protect the system from
pressure surges.
The use of union ttings before and aer the unit is advised to allow for unit removal
during servicing.
All attached pipe work should be independently supported and should not induce any
load on the lter housing.
INSTALLING THE UNIT
1. Connect the water inlet pipe work to the inlet ange.
2. Connect the water outlet ange to the outlet pipe work.
3. Install the drain valve in the drain port on the underside of the unit.
4. Install the pressure gauge and vent valve to the vent port on the cap of the unit.
5. Undo the clamp and remove clamp.
6. Remove the lter housing lid.
7. Undo the nut on the cartridge adaptor and remove the adaptor from the lter
housing.
8. Remove the top plate from the adaptor.
9. Insert the adaptor into the centre of the cartridge and reattach the top plate of the
adapter.
10. Make sure the adapter components are all aligned withing the centre of the lter
cartridge.
11. Fasten the nut until rm and install the lter cartridge into the housing.
12. Check the O-ring is in the grove on the lip of the lter housing.
13. Place the housing lid in place and install the clamp.
14. Tighten the clamp screw tightly.
15. Close the drain port
16. Open the vent valve.
17. Open the water ow
18. Close the vent valve when water ows from the vent.
19. Check the unit pressure to ensure there are no leaks.
