m
The
scroll saw is
mainly
usd for
sawing
cuves. To
achieve
best
rcsults
you
should
always
obserue
the
fpilowing
points:
1. When
sawing
press
the
work
piece
firmly
onto the work
plate
(Fig.
9); advance
the
work
piece
carefully
and
with
only
little
force;
apply more force
to the work
plate
and
less force
to the
saw blade.
Use
only
good
saw blades.
Always
pull
the mains
plug
out
when
carrying
out
maintenance. Do not let
the machine
run
unattended.
The
saw does not
cut
the
wok
piece
by itself
,
you
must
guide
the
work
piece
towards
the saw blade.
The
cuning teeth will
only cut during
the
downwards
stroke.
2.
Guide the work
piece
slowly
against the
saw blade,
especially when
using
a lhin blade with
fine
toothing
or
if
the
work
piece
is
very
thick. The
teeth wiil
throw
out the
saw dust only
during
the downwards
stroke.
3. Best results will
be achieved if
the thickness
of the wood
is less
than 25 mm.
4. For
wood
thicknesses
of more
than 25 mm
you
must
guide
the
work
piece
eritremely carefully
to
prevent
the
saw blade
lrom
being
damaged by kinking,
bending
or
twisting.
Replace
blunt saw
blades
in
due
time.
5.
Always remember
that the
saw blade will
try
to
foltow
the
grain
in
the
wood
when
cuning exact
cuts
(applies
particularly
for
thin
saw blades).
