CAUTION

WARNINGS:

Spray drift or direct contact onto leaves or green stems of desirable plants can result in serious damage.

When using CLEAR PAVE as a land preparation for transplanted crop with green soft stems, allow a minimum of 14 days between application and transplanting of seedlings.

Handle with care.

Harmful when swallowed.

May cause skin and eye irritation.

Toxic to fish and aquatic organisms.

CLEAR PAVE can be corrosive to zinc-lined spray pumps and other metal equipment.

Do not store, mix or apply CLEAR PAVE solutions in galvanised steel or unlined steel (except stainless steel) containers or spray tanks. CLEAR PAVE can react with such containers to produce hydrogen gas, which may form a highly combustible and explosive gas mixture.

Store in a cool, dry well-ventilated place in the original container, tightly close and secured.

Store away from food, feeds, seed, fertilizer and other agricultural remedies.

Keep out of reach of children, uninformed persons and animals.

Although this remedy has been extensively tested under a large variety of conditions the registration holder does not warrant that it will be effective under all conditions. The activity and effect thereof may be affected by factors such as abnormal climatic and storage conditions, quality of dilution water, incompatibility with other substances not indicated on the label and the occurrence of resistance of the weed against the remedy, as well as by the method, time and accuracy of application. The registration holder furthermore does not accept responsibility for damage to crops, vegetation, the environment or harm to man or animal, or for lack of performance of the remedy concerned due to failure by the user to follow the label instructions, or to the occurrence of conditions which could not have been foreseen in terms of the registration. Consult the supplier in the event of any uncertainty.

PRECAUTIONS:

Do not inhale fumes and/or spray mist.

Avoid skin and eye contact by wearing protective clothing when mixing the product.

In case of accidental skin or eye contact, wash with plenty of water, and in the case of eyes, get medical attention if necessary.

Wash with soap and water after use, as well as contaminated clothing.

Do not eat, drink or smoke while mixing or applying the product or before washing hands and face and changing clothing.

Thoroughly wash all spray equipment after use. Dispose of wash water where it will not contaminate crops, grazing, rivers, dams and boreholes.

Destroy the empty container and dispose of it in a safe manner.

Never re-use the empty container for any other purpose.

Prevent contamination of food, feeds, drinking water and eating utensils.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Use only as directed.

General Information:

CLEAR PAVE is a foliar absorbed, non-selective, systemic herbicide, being active only when applied post emergence to the foliage and green bark of plants.

It has no or little soil activity.

The product is slow acting and maximum effect may only be achieved 2 to 4 weeks after application.

Apply when weeds are growing vigorously in spring and summer or in autumn when weeds are actively translocating nutrients into roots, bulbs, rhizomes and stolons.

If weeds are mowed prior to treatment with CLEAR PAVE, allow adequate time to elapse for re-growth of sufficient absorptive leaf area before spraying.

CLEAR PAVE has no pre-emergence activity; therefore repeat applications are necessary to control weeds germinating from seed and to maintain season long weed control.

Irrigation a few days prior to application of CLEAR PAVE ensures that weeds are growing actively, resulting in optimum efficacy.

Do not spray on wet weed foliage or which are covered with a layer of dust.

Rain or irrigation within 6 hours of application can reduce CLEAR PAVE efficacy on weeds.

Only use spray equipment that is clean and free of rust and dust. Internal sedimentations of wettable powders should be removed.

Avoid high pressure during application, resulting in small droplets and spray drift which can damage desirable plants.

An even droplet distribution on the target weeds is essential for good results.

It is not necessary to spray to the point of run off, but essential to ensure complete coverage of the target weed.

Under certain conditions the addition of a surfactant may be advantageous.

Always use clean water. Avoid the use of brack or muddy water.

WARNINGS:

CLEAR PAVE is absorbed through green bark, leaves and fruit.

Spray target plants only.

Avoid contact with desirable vegetation, either direct spray or by spray drift.

Trees and shrubs with green or immature bark should be shielded from spray contact.

Pruning wounds should be allowed to dry (approximately 10 days) before spraying CLEAR PAVE.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

For use as a foliar spray on weeds in paving, house garden and other areas around the house.

Apply as a fine, even spray and avoid run-off of the mixture.

Apply only to actively growing weeds, which are not suffering from moisture stress, cold stress or senescence.

Perennial weeds should be sprayed when flowering in initiated or in mid-summer to early autumn.

Certain perennial weeds (e.g. bramble) will require repeat application on re-growth.

Allow plants to die before any cultivation.
