WARNINGS
This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
farm houses;
by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
bed and breakfast type environments.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
Regarding the operating times, refer to the section “Operation”.
WARNING: Risks of injuries if you don't use this appliance correctly.
Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl
and during cleaning.
Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before
assembling, disassembling or cleaning.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are aged from 8 years and above and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
Children shall not play with the appliance.
Regarding the instructions for cleaning surfaces in contact with food, refer to the
section “Cleaning and Maintenance” on pages 3 of the manual.
Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories
or approaching parts that move in use.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read all instructions before using the appliance and keep them for future reference.
Turn off and unplug the appliance from the mains socket when not in use, before attaching or detaching any part, and before cleaning. The use of attachments not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
Do not use outdoors.
Always position the ice cream maker on a flat stable surface.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
Do not attempt to repair the appliance if it is damaged or does not work properly. Repairs must only be made by a qualified service engineer.
Do not puncture or heat up the inner bowl because the hollow bowl wall contains a freezer liquid and the bowl could get damaged.
Never handle or operate the appliance with wet hands.
Never freeze ice cream that has been fully or partially defrosted.
Any ice cream that contains raw ingredients should be consumed within one week. Ice cream tastes best when fresh.
Ice cream that contains raw or partially cooked eggs should be given to young children, pregnant women, the elderly or people who are
generally unwell.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Before use, thoroughly wash all parts that will come into contact with the ice cream in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not immerse the motor unit in water. Wipe the outside of the motor unit with a slightly damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
OPERATION
1. Fit the motor unit into the lid ensuring it clicks into place.
2. Insert the spindle into the motor unit and then fit the paddle to the spindle.
3. Place the ring on the outer bowl, ensuring the handles on the ring are positioned in the recesses of the outer bowl.
4. Before you make ice cream, put the inner bowl in the freezer for 12 hours.
For the most delicious ice cream, it is recommended that you refrigerate your ingredients before making ice cream.
5. Remove the inner bowl from the freezer and place it on the outer bowl.
ATTENTION!
When you handle the inner bowl, always use a cloth to protect your hands from getting frostbite.
6. Lower the assembled lid with power unit and paddle into the inner bowl and turn it clockwise until it locks into positon.
7. Plug in the appliance and switch it on.
8. Pour your mix through the filling hole into the inner bowl. NOTE: The mix will expand by approximately 4cm. Do not overfill the inner bowl.
9. Mix your ice cream until it reaches the desired consistency which may take about 40 minutes.
Do not let the ice cream freeze whilst the paddle is turning.
10. After your ice cream is made, turn the ice cream maker off and unplug it from the mains socket.
11. Remove finished ice cream into another container using a plastic scoop or a wooden spoon (not supplied).
Do not use a metal scoop to avoid damage to the inside of the inner bowl.

RECIPES
Banana Ice Cream
INGREDIENTS:
1 large ripe banana
200 ml low-fat milk 100 ml whipping cream 50 g powder sugar
PREPARATION:
1. Puree the banana.
2. Beat the whipping cream until stiff.
3. Mix the pureed banana thoroughly with the other ingredients and stir in the whipped cream to produce a smooth mixture.
4. Pour the mixture into inner bowl and allow the mixture to freeze until the desired consistency is achieved.
Vanilla Ice Cream
INGREDIENTS:
2 egg yolks
200 ml low-fat milk
200 ml whipping cream
50 g powder sugar
1-2 sachets of vanilla sugar
PREPARATION:
1. Beat the egg yolk together with the powder and vanilla sugar until the mix becomes light in colour.
2. Add the cold milk.
3. Whip the cream until stiff.
4. Add the whipped cream to the mixture and stir to produce a smooth mixture.
5. Pour the mixture into inner bowl and allow the mixture to freeze until the desired consistency is achieved.

CLEANNING AND MAINTENANCE
Warning: Always turn off and unplug the appliance before cleaning. Unlock the lid by turning it anticlockwise.
Remove the paddle from the spindle and pull the spindle out of the lid. To disassemble the motor unit from the lid, gently press the clips of the motor unit. Wipe the motor unit with a slightly damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Never immerse it in water or any other liquid. Clean other parts in warm soapy water and rinse them thoroughly.
Dry the entire appliance with a dry cloth before replacing. Do not use chemical cleaners or abrasives product for cleaning.
Surfaces in contact with food should be cleaned regularly to avoid cross contamination from different types of food, the use of warm clean water with a mild detergent is advisable when dealing with surfaces that come into contact with food. Correct food hygiene practices should always be followed at all times to avoid possibility of food poisoning /cross contamination.

Cet appareil peut être utilisé par des enfants âgés d'au moins 8 ans, à condition qu'ils
bénéficient d'une surveillance ou qu'ils aient reçu des instructions quant à l'utilisation de l'appareil en toute sécurité et qu'ils comprennent bien les dangers encourus. Le nettoyage et l'entretien de l'utilisateur ne doivent pas être effectués par des enfants, à moins qu'ils ne soient âgés d'au moins 8 ans et qu'ils soient sous la surveillance d'un adulte. Conserver l'appareil et son câble hors de portée des enfants âgés de moins de 8 ans.
