5. Let the appliance warm up for at least 3 to 5 minutes before adding the melted chocolate.
In the meantime, prepare the chocolate as follows:
To get the best cascading effects, a chocolate with a high percentage of cocoa is recommended. Dark chocolate usually has a higher percentage than milk
chocolate. Other chocolate types can work with the addition of vegetable oil but the oil will obviously affect the chocolate taste and the texture.
You can melt a maximum of 700g chocolate to run the chocolate fountain.
The quickest way to shorten the chocolate melting time is to pre-heat the chocolate in a microwave oven or on a hob first before use in the fountain.

Hints to improve flowing:
The chocolate flowing ability depends on the chocolate quality, the higher the coca content the better the flowing. In case the chocolate does not flow as
desired it is recommended to add a pure vegetable oil in order to improve the chocolate flowing. We recommend 180ml vegetable oil per 700g chocolate.
A. Melting the chocolate in a microwave oven
a) Break the chocolate into pieces and place them in a bowl.
b) Heat up the bowl for about 2 to 3 minutes depending on the wattage of your microwave oven and then stir.
or
B. Melting the chocolate on a hob
a) Put the chocolate in a bowl.
b) Place the bowl in a large saucepan filled with water and slowly heat up the saucepan.
c) Stir the chocolate constantly until it is completely melted.
6. Turn the control knob to the flow position
7. Pour the melted chocolate into the centre of the fountain bowl.
IMPORTANT: The chocolate needs to be completely melted and must be of a thin consistency before it is poured into the f ountain. This will allow a proper
flow of the chocolate. To check the consistency of the chocolate, dip a large spoon into the chocolate. The chocolate should flow smoothly off the back of
the spoon. If the chocolate is too thick, add more oil.
8. The auger will draw the chocolate up to the top a nd then the chocolate will start to flow over the tiers.
9. You can now dip fruit pieces, marshmallows or cookies in the chocolate flow to coat them with melted chocolate.
10. Once finished, turn the control knob to the off position
