Colour wh ee ls are bu il t up using di ffere nt ly sized segm en ts , consisting of
the pri ma ry colours RGB, a nd with added a cc en ts, such as a c lear (“White” )
segment , or a neutral de ns it y green s eg ment (“NDG” ) se gm ent.
Additio n of a clear segm en t
The add it io n of a clear se gm ent in the co lo ur wheel incr eases maxim um
availab le b rightness from a pro je ctor. By allowing w hi te light fr om the lamp
to pass t hrough wi th ou t being obstr uc te d or colour ed, white a reas of an
image, fo r instance a wo rk s heet in Mic rosoft Exce l, o r a page in Wo rd, will
gain an i nc redible l ig ht output. Ad di ng a rela ti ve ly larg e size clear se gm ent is
common fo r business and presentatio n DL P™ proj ec to rs, as brig ht ne ss and
