Key features

The revolutionary avielo optix SuperWide235 is the world’s

first native 2.35:1 projector. Through the use of proprietary

technology developed in partnership with Texas instruments, the

limits of showing a “Scope” movie on a 1920 X 1080 chip no

longer apply. This eliminates the addition of a light absorbing

outboard lens on the front of the optix projector. A native 2.35:1

image of 2560 x 1080 resolution can now be displayed in the home

for the first time without the use of additional external optics.

Until now, in home cinema applications, the only way to truly

watch a picture in 2.35:1 full format was to add additional bulky

lenses to the front of the projector and then scale the picture to

fit the screen. Even using high-quality optical glass, these lenses

inevitably impact on image clarity and can reduce measured

picture brightness by up to 10%.

The avielo optix SuperWide235 displays a wide range of

colours, easily surpassing the requirements for High Definition

programming through broadcast, or from Blu-ray disc and HD-TV

formats. Each projector is uniquely characterised and calibrated

at the factory, with settings unique to each projector stored in it,

and also in our central database for future referencing.

To provide the best possible performance, the all-new projection

lenses and optics in the avielo optix SuperWide 235 are custom-

designed for 2560 x 1080 pixel resolution. All lenses use special

aspherical glass elements and enhanced, low-dispersion glass for

increased contrast, improved colour saturation, and above all,

excellent sharpness, producing unsurpassed image clarity and

incredible detail.
