This appliance is intended for household use only.
To avoid an electrical circuit overload, do not operate another high wattage appliance on the same circuit with the hot pot.
This appliance is equipped with a grounded-type 3-wire cord (3-prong plug). This plug will only fit into an electrical outlet made for a 3-prong plug. This is a safety feature. If the plug should fail to fit, contact an electrician to replace the obsolete outlet. Do not attempt to defeat the safety purpose of the grounding pin, part of the 3-prong plug.
This appliance has a short cord to reduce hazards of becoming entangled or tripping over a longer cord. A grounded-type 3 wire extension cord may be used if the electrical rating of the extension cord is equal to or greater than the rating of the hot pot. Use only an extension cord rated 15 amperes or greater. Care must be taken to arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces or hot liquids. Use handles or knobs.
Care must be taken as burns can occur from touching hot parts or from spilled hot liquid.
3. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons do not immerse cord, plugs, or hot pot in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
5. Hot pot must be operated on a flat surface away from the edge of counter to prevent accidental tipping.
6. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Call our toll-free customer service number for information on examination, repair, or adjustment.
8. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
9. Do not use outdoors.
10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot
surfaces, including the stove.
11. To protect against electric shock, unplug from outlet when filling, when not in use, and before cleaning.
12. To prevent burns, allow to cool before cleaning.
13. Do not allow hot pot to boil dry.
14. To avoid possible steam damage, turn spout away from walls or
cabinets during use; use protective pad under hot pot to prevent damage to wood finishes.

Using Your Hot Pot
BEFORE FIRST USE: Rinse out hot pot with warm, soapy water, then rinse with clean, hot water.
NOTES:
• The hot pot has a heat control that ranges from WARM to
BOIL. The heat control can be set between warm and boil to achieve desired cooking temperature depending on liquid or food being used.
WARNING: To avoid burns and reduce the risk of personal injury, use extreme caution when carrying the hot pot containing hot liquids. Do not pour in the direction of people or over people.
• The hot pot can be used for heating water, milk, soups, and liquid-based foods.
1. Remove cover by gripping the center of cover and lifting off of the hot pot.
2. Fill hot pot with liquid or food desired. Be careful not to exceed the 32 ounces MAX FILL line.
WARNING: If the hot pot is overfilled, there is a risk that hot liquid may spit out of the spout.
3. Place hot pot on a dry, level surface. Firmly attach cover when heating liquids. When heating creamy soups and liquid-based foods, cover may be removed to stir occasionally during heating.
WARNING: THE HOT POT AND ACCUMULATED STEAM WILL BE HOT. OPEN COVER CAREFULLY TO LET STEAM ESCAPE SAFELY.
4. Plug hot pot into the outlet. As soon as hot pot is plugged
in, the unit is on. Set control knob to desired setting.
5. When desired temperature is reached, the control knob
may be reduced to the WARM setting to keep liquid or food warm for serving.
6. When pouring liquids out of spout, make sure cover is firmly attached. Cover may be removed to ladle out the food.
