Studio 125
The Studio 125, recipient of many excellent reviews
and winner of the What Hi-Fi? Best Buy award in 2000
has been further developed to deliver even more
outstanding performance whilst still retaining its
original character.
This exceptional loudspeaker now features an
uprated 6
1
⁄2" bass unit, which incorporates an open,
raised voice coil giving improved linearity and lower
distortion. Housed in a more rigid ProAc chassis the
new motor unit provides greater detail and power
handling. To achieve the necessary bass extension
and to utilise the extra power this driver has
twin loading by a flared reflex port and a larger
straight port.
A superior crossover network mates the bass
seamlessly with a high quality soft dome tweeter
which itself is characterised by a smooth and
exceptionally detailed response. Refinements to the
ferrofluid cooling system in the tweeter have resulted
in an even wider frequency response.
