Algemeen

Met deze fraaie Princess Royal Compact Blender kunt u groenten en fruit fijn hakken of overheerlijke shakes en sappen maken.

De blender heeft een krachtige motor, die u op twee continue standen of een pulsstand kunt instellen. Met de scherpe roestvrijstalen messen kunt u moeiteloos zowel grote als kleine stukken fruit en groente fijnsnijden of pureren. Dit handige apparaat heeft verder een afsluitbaar deksel met vulopening om tijdens het blenden producten toe te voegen zonder te morsen. De rubberen voetjes onder de blender voorkomen dat het apparaat wegschuift. Het apparaat wordt aangesloten op het elektriciteitsnet (220 - 240V).

Werking en bediening

Zie figuur 1.

Het apparaat bevat de volgende onderdelen: 1 Behuizing 2 Aan/uit-schakelaar 3 Kan met maataanduiding 4 Deksel 5Vuldop 6 Snoer en stekker

Voor het eerste gebruik

1 Verwijder de verpakking. 2 Reinig het apparaat. Zie ‘Onderhoud en

reinigen’.

Onderdelen plaatsen

1 Plaats de kan op de behuizing. De

sleuven in de bodem van de kan moeten precies in de drie nokken van

de behuizing vallen. 2 Plaats de deksel op de kan. 3 Plaats de vuldop in de deksel en draai

deze een kwartslag om de dop vast te

zetten. 4 Verwijderen van de onderdelen gebeurt

in omgekeerde volgorde.

Producten blenden

1 Snijd de vruchten en/of groenten in

stukken die in de kan passen. Maak de

stukken niet te groot. Ze moeten goed

onderin de kan passen. 2 Open de deksel en doe de stukken in

de kan. 3 Plaats de deksel op de kan om

opspatten te voorkomen. 4 Schakel de blender in op stand 1 of 2 of

in de pulsstand (P). Hoe langer u de

blender ingeschakeld houdt, des te

fijner de producten worden vermalen.

Gebruik de blender echter niet langer

dan 3 minuten onafgebroken om

oververhitting te voorkomen. Laat de

blender enkele minuten afkoelen

voordat u deze weer gebruikt. 5 Vul de kan eventueel bij door alleen de

vuldop een kwartslag te draaien en van

de deksel af te halen. Als stukken

product niet door de vulopening

passen, schakel de blender dan uit,

ver-wijder de deksel en doe de stukken

in de kan. Plaats de deksel terug op de

kan voordat u de blender weer

inschakelt. 6 Zet de schakelaar uit (stand 0),

wanneer u de gewenste hoeveelheid

vruchten en/of groenten hebt verwerkt. 7 Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact.

Onderhoud en reinigen

• Zorg ervoor dat er geen vocht aan de binnenkant van de behuizing komt.

• Dompel het apparaat nooit onder in water of een andere vloeistof. Mocht dit wel gebeuren, gebruik het apparaat dan niet meer en gooi het weg.

• Alleen de losse onderdelen kunnen in de vaatwasser worden gereinigd.

• Gebruik geen schurende of agressieve middelen.

• Deze blender dankt zijn werking aan de scherp geslepen messen onderin de kan. Neem daarom extra zorg in acht bij het leeg- en schoonmaken van de blender. Voorkom dat u zich verwond aan de messen.

1 Reinig de buitenzijde van het apparaat

met een zachte vochtige doek.

2 Reinig de binnenzijde van de kan en de

bijbehorende onderdelen met een vochtige doek en wat reinigingsmiddel na ieder gebruik. Zo voorkomt u dat er pulpresten aan het apparaat vastkoeken.

3 Reinig vooral de roterende messen

onderin de kan goed om te voorkomen dat daar resten achterblijven.

4 Plaats na het reinigen alle onderdelen

op het apparaat (zie ‘Onderdelen plaatsen’), sluit de deksel en berg het op.

Veiligheid

Algemeen

• Lees de gebruiksaanwijzing goed door en bewaar deze zorgvuldig.

• Gebruik dit apparaat alleen zoals beschreven in deze gebruiksaanwijzing.

• Gebruik dit apparaat alleen voor huishoudelijke doeleinden.

• Het gebruik van dit apparaat door kinderen of personen met een lichamelijke, zintuigelijke, mentale of motorische beperking, of gebrek aan kennis en ervaring, kan tot gevaarlijke situaties leiden. Personen die voor hun veiligheid verantwoordelijk zijn dienen duidelijke instructies te geven of dienen toezicht te houden op het gebruik van het apparaat.

• Hou toezicht op kinderen om er zeker van te zijn dat zij niet met het apparaat spelen.

• Laat reparaties uitvoeren door een gekwalificeerde monteur. Probeer nooit zelf het apparaat te repareren.

Warmte en elektriciteit

• Controleer voordat u het apparaat gebruikt of de netspanning overeenkomt met de aangegeven netspanning op het typeplaatje van het apparaat.

• Gebruik een geaard stopcontact.

• Haal altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact wanneer u het apparaat niet gebruikt.

• Als u de stekker uit het stopcontact neemt, trek dan aan de stekker, niet aan het snoer.

• Gebruik het apparaat niet als het apparaat of het snoer beschadigd is. Stuur het naar onze servicedienst om risico's te vermijden. Bij dit type apparaat kan een beschadigd snoer alleen door onze servicedienst worden vervangen met behulp van speciaal gereedschap.

• Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat en het snoer niet in aanraking komen met hittebronnen, zoals een hete kookplaat of open vuur.

• Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat, het snoer en de stekker niet in aanraking komen met water.

• Wees voorzichtig met het vastpakken van onderdelen en het apparaat zelf. Laat het apparaat eerst afkoelen. Het apparaat en de onderdelen worden namelijk heet tijdens het gebruik. Ook de behuizing van het apparaat wordt heet, omdat de behuizing de warmte goed geleidt.

Tijdens gebruik

• Gebruik het apparaat nooit buiten.

• Plaats het apparaat op een stabiele en vlakke ondergrond, op een plaats waar het niet kan vallen.

• Laat het snoer niet over de rand van een aanrecht, werkblad of tafel hangen.

• Zorg ervoor dat uw handen droog zijn als u het apparaat, het snoer of de stekker aanraakt.

• Om oververhitting te voorkomen, gebruikt u het apparaat niet langer dan 3 minuten onafgebroken. Laat het apparaat enkele minuten afkoelen voordat u het weer gebruikt.

• Gebruik het apparaat nooit in vochtige ruimten.

• Schakel het apparaat alleen in wanneer de deksel op de kan zit.

• Schakel het apparaat uit en verwijder de stekker uit het stopcontact als u tijdens het gebruik storingen ondervindt, het apparaat gaat reinigen, een accessoire aanbrengt of verwijdert, of klaar bent met het gebruik.

• Pak het apparaat niet op wanneer het in het water is gevallen. Neem direct de stekker uit het stopcontact. Gebruik het apparaat niet meer.

• Maak het apparaat na gebruik grondig schoon (zie hoofdstuk ‘Onderhoud en reinigen’).

• Dompel het apparaat, het snoer en de stekker nooit onder in water of een andere vloeistof.

• Deze blender werkt erg snel. In enkele seconden zullen de producten al vermalen zijn. Hoe langer u de blender ingeschakeld houdt, des te fijner worden de producten vermalen.

• Hete vloeistof in de blender kan tot gevolg hebben dat de deksel er door het ontstaan van stoom en de druk van de hete vloeistof af schiet. Voorkom dit door de deksel gedurende het inschakelen vast te houden met een doek.

Milieu

Werp verpakkingsmateriaal zoals plastic en dozen in de daarvoor bestemde containers.

Wilt u het apparaat weg doen terwijl het nog goed functioneert of eenvoudig gerepareerd kan worden, zorg dan voor hergebruik van het apparaat.

Aan het einde van de levensduur moet u het apparaat op een verantwoorde wijze laten verwerken, zodat het apparaat of onderdelen daarvan kunnen worden hergebruikt. Zet het apparaat niet bij het ongesorteerde afval, maar lever het in bij de winkelier of bij een erkend inzamelpunt. Neem contact op met uw gemeente voor informatie over de beschikbare inleveringsen inzamelsystemen.

General

You can use this attractive Princess Royal Compact Blender to finely chop vegetables and fruit, and to prepare delicious shakes and juices.

The blender is equipped with a powerful motor that can be set to one of two continuous speeds or a pulse mode. The sharp stainless-steel knives enable you to finely chop or purée both small and large pieces of fruit and vegetables with the greatest of ease. This useful appliance also has a closable lid; the filling opening in the lid can be used to add ingredients during blending without spillage. The rubber feet under the blender prevent it from moving whilst in use. Connect the appliance to the mains power supply (220 - 240V).

Operation and controls

Fitting the parts

1 Fit the jug to the housing. The three

lugs on the housingmust fit precisely

into the slots in the base of the jug. 2 Place the lid on the jug. 3 Fit the lid insert in the lid, and lock it by

turning it through 90 degrees. 4 Dismantle the parts in the reverse

sequence.

Blending products

1 Cut the fruit and/or vegetables into

pieces that fit in the jug. Do not cut into

pieces that are too large, since they will

need to be small enough to fall to the

base of the jug. 2 Open the lid, and put the pieces in the

jug. 3 Fit the lid back onto the jug to prevent

splashing. 4 Switch on the blender in position 1 or 2,

or in the pulse mode (P). The

smoothness of the blend increases with

longer blending times, but do not keep

operating the blender more than

3 minutes to avoid overheating. Let the

blender cool down for a few minutes

before starting again. 5 If necessary, top up the contents by

opening the lid insert; turn the lid insert

through 90 degrees and remove it from

the lid. If the pieces are too large for the

filling opening then switch off the

blender, remove the lid, and add the

product. Put the lid back on the jug

before switching the blender on again. 6 Switch off the blender (position 0) once

you have processed the required

quantity of fruit and/or vegetables. 7 Remove the plug from the wall socket.

Before use for the first time

1 Remove the packaging. 2 Clean the appliance. See ‘Maintenance

and cleaning’.

Maintenance

Safety

and cleaning

• Make sure no moisture gets into the interior of the housing.

• Do not immerse the appliance in water, or in other liquids. If this happens do not use the appliance any more; dispose of the appliance.

• Only the loose parts may be cleaned in a dishwasher.

• Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents.

• This blender uses sharp knives, which are located in the bottom of the container. Therefore, be very careful when emptying and cleaning the blender. Avoid cutting yourself on the knives.

1 Clean the exterior of the appliance with

a soft, damp cloth.

2 Clean the interior of the jug and the

accessories with a damp cloth and a few drops of washing-up liquid. This will prevent pulp residues from caking onto the appliance.

3 In particular, thoroughly clean the

rotating knives at the bottom of the jug to make sure you remove all food residues.

4 After cleaning fit all the parts to the

blender (see ‘Fitting the parts’), close the lid, and store the appliance.

General

• Please read these instructions carefully and retain them for reference.

• Use this appliance only in accordance with the instructions.

• This appliance is intended solely for domestic use.

• The use of this appliance by children or persons with a physical, sensory, mental or motorial disability, or lack of experience and knowledge can give cause to hazards. Persons responsible for their safety should give explicit instructions or supervise the use of the appliance.

• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Have the appliance repaired only by a qualified electrician. Never try to repair the appliance yourself.

Electricity and heat

• Verify that the mains voltage is the same as that indicated on the type plate on the appliance before use.

• Plug the appliance into an earthed wall socket.

• Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use.

• Always remove the plug from the wall socket by pulling on the plug, not the power cord.

• Do not use the equipment if it is damaged, or if the lead is damaged. Send it to our Service Department in order to avoid a hazard. With this type

of appliance, a damaged cord should only be replaced by our Service Department using special tools.

• Make sure that the appliance and the power cord do not come in contact with sources of heat, such as a hot hob or naked flame.

• Make sure that the appliance, the power cord and plug do not come in contact with water.

• Take care when touching the appliance and its parts. Allow the appliance to cool down first. The appliance and its parts will become hot whilst the appliance is in use. The appliance’s housing will also become hot, since the housing is an excellent conductor of heat.

During use

• Never use the appliance outdoors.

• Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface where it cannot fall.

• Never allow the power cord to hang over the edge of the draining board, worktop or table.

• Make sure that your hands are dry before touching the appliance, power cord or plug.

• To avoid overheating, do not use the appliance more than 3 minutes continuously. Let the appliance cool down for several minutes before starting again.

• Never use the appliance in a humid room.

• Always close the lid before switching on the appliance.

• Switch off the appliance and remove the plug from the wall socket in the event of a malfunction during use, and before cleaning the appliance, fitting or removing an accessory, or storing the appliance after use.

• Do not pick up the appliance if it falls into water. Remove the plug from the wall socket immediately. No not use the device again.

• Clean the appliance thoroughly after use (see the ‘Maintenance and cleaning’ Section).

• Never immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug in water or any other fluid.

• The blender works very quickly. The ingredients are ground within just a few seconds. The longer the blender is turned on, the finer the products will be ground.

• Hot liquids in the blender may result in the lid flying off due to the steam and pressure caused by the hot liquid. Prevent this from happening by holding the lid down with a cloth whilst the blender is in use.

U.K. WIRING INSTRUCTIONS

The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:

• BLUE NEUTRAL

• BROWN LIVE

As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:

• The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured black.

• The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.

WARNING: ON NO ACCOUNT SHOULD EITHER THE LIVE OR NEUTRAL WIRES BE CONNECTED TO THE EARTH TERMINAL

With this appliance, if a 13A plug is used a 3A fuse should be fitted. If any other type of plug is used, a 15A fuse must be fitted either in the plug or at the distribution board.

The Environment

Dispose of packaging material, such as plastic and boxes, in the appropriate waste containers.

You should ensure for the reuse of the appliance if you wish to dispose of it whilst it is still in good working order or needs only a minor repair.

When the appliance reaches the end of its useful life it must be disposed of in a responsible manner, thereby ensuring for the reuse of (parts of) the appliance. Do not dispose of the appliance with unsorted refuse; hand it in at the store, or take it to a recognized collection point. Contact your municipality for information about the reception and collection systems in your area.

Généralités

Il s'agit d'un bol mélangeur compact Princess Royal Compact Blender qui permet de hacher fruits et légumes ainsi que de préparer des shakes et de presser des jus.

Le bol mélangeur a un moteur puissant que vous faites tourner à volonté à l'une des deux vitesses continues, ou par la fonction 'pulse'. Les fines lames acérées en inox hachent en réduisent en purée sans peine tant les grands que les petits morceaux de fruits et légumes. La conception pratique de l'appareil comprend de plus un couvercle avec ouverture de remplissage qui permet d'ajouter des ingrédients pendant le cours de la préparation, sans faire d'éclaboussures. Les pieds en caoutchouc sous le dessous du bol mélangeur l'empêchent de se déplacer pendant l'usage. L'appareil se connecte simplement sur le secteur (courant 220-240 V).

Avant la première utilisation

1 Enlevez l'emballage. 2 Nettoyez l'appareil. Voir 'Entretien et

nettoyage'.

Montage des pièces

1 Placez le bol verseur sur le corps de

l'appareil. Les encoches dans le fond du bol verseur doivent s'emboîter exactement sur les trois cames du

corps de l'appareil. 2 Fermez le couvercle. 3 Fermez le bouchon de remplissage du

couvercle, et vissez-le d'un quart de

tour pour le fixer en place. 4 Pour démonter les pièces, procédez

inversement.

Hacher et mélanger

1 Coupez les fruits et/ou légumes en

morceaux adaptés à la taille du bol

verseur. Ne laissez pas les morceaux

trop gros. Ils doivent aller sans forcer

au fond du bol verseur. 2 Ouvrez le couvercle et placez les

morceaux dans le bol verseur. 3 Refermez le couvercle pour arrêter

d'éventuelles éclaboussures. 4 Mettez le bol mélangeur en marche à la

vitesse voulue, en position 1, 2 ou P

(pulse). Plus vous laissez le bol

mélangeur tournez, mais ne faites pas

fonctionner le mixeur pendant plus de

trois minutes d'affilée afin d'éviter toute

surchauffe. Laissez le mixeur refroidir

pendant quelques minutes avant de

vous en resservir. 5 Pour ajouter quelque chose en cours

de préparation, vous dévissez le

bouchon de remplissage d'un quart de

tour et vous le retirez. Si les morceaux

sont trop gros pour l'ouverture de

remplissage, arrêtez d'abord l'appareil

avant d'ouvrir le couvercle pour remplir

le bol mélangeur. Refermez le

couvercle du bol verseur avant de

remettre le bol mélangeur en marche. 6 Lorsque vous avez fini de préparer la

quantité voulue de fruits et/ou de

légumes, vous arrêtez l'appareil en mettant l'interrupteur sur la position 0.

7 Débranchez la fiche.

Entretien et nettoyage

• Ne laissez pas d'humidité pénétrer à l'intérieur du corps de l'appareil.

• N'immergez jamais l'appareil dans l'eau ou dans un autre liquide. Le cas échéant, cessez d'utiliser l'appareil et mettez-le au rebut.

• Seules les pièces amovibles peuvent être mises au lave-vaisselle.

• N'utilisez pas de détergents agressifs ou décapants.

•

Le fonctionnement du bol mélangeur dépend des lames acérées au fond du bol verseur. La plus grande prudence est donc nécessaire lorsque vous videz et nettoyez l'appareil. Évitez de vous blesser avec les lames.

1 Nettoyez l'extérieur de l'appareil avec

un chiffon doux humide.

2 Après chaque utilisation, nettoyez

l'intérieur du bol verseur, ainsi que les pièces amovibles, avec un chiffon humide et un peu de détergent pour la vaisselle. Vous évitez ainsi que d'éventuels restes de pulpe se collent à l'intérieur de l'appareil.

3 Nettoyez avec un soin particulier les

lames rotatives au fond du bol verseur, pour ne pas y laisser de restes.

4 Une fois nettoyées, montez toutes les

pièces sur l'appareil (voir 'Montage des pièces'), fermez le couvercle et rangez l'appareil.

Sécurité

Généralités

• Lisez soigneusement le mode d'emploi et conservez-le précieusement.

• Utilisez cet appareil uniquement suivant les instructions décrites dans le mode d'emploi.

• L'appareil est destiné uniquement à l'utilisation domestique.

• Si l'appareil est utilisé par des enfants, ou par des personnes ayant un handicap physique, sensoriel, mental ou moteur, ou par des personnes inexpérimentées, ceci peut entraîner un danger. Les personnes responsables de la sécurité doivent donner des instructions claires et suffisantes et/ou surveiller l'utilisation de l'appareil.

• Surveillez les enfants et veillez à ce qu'ils ne jouent pas avec l'appareil.

• Faites effectuer les réparations par un technicien qualifié. Ne tentez jamais de réparer vous-même l'appareil.

Électricité et chaleur

• Avant d'utiliser cet appareil, assurezvous que la tension du réseau correspond à la tension du réseau indiquée sur la plaquette type de l'appareil.

• Utilisez une prise raccordée à la terre.

• Débranchez toujours l'appareil lorsque vous ne l'utilisez pas.

• Lorsque vous débranchez la fiche, saisissez la fiche elle-même; ne tirez pas sur le cordon.

• N’utilisez pas l'appareil si le cordon ou l'appareil lui-même est endommagé.

Pour éviter une électrocution, le renvoyer à notre service de réparation. La réparation du cordon sur ce type d’appareils nécessite des outils spéciaux et ne peut donc être effectuée que par notre service de réparation.

• Assurez-vous que ni l'appareil, ni le cordon n'entre en contact avec une source de chaleur telle qu'une plaque électrique chaude ou une flamme.

• Assurez-vous que ni l'appareil, ni le cordon, ni la fiche n'entre en contact avec de l'eau.

• Faites attention lorsque vous touchez les composants et l'appareil proprement dit. Laissez d'abord l'appareil refroidir. L'appareil et ses composants peuvent s'échauffer fortement pendant l'utilisation. L'extérieur de l'appareil se réchauffe également, car le matériau conduit bien la chaleur.

Pendant l'utilisation

• N´utilisez jamais l'appareil à l'extérieur.

• Installez l'appareil sur une surface plane et stable, à un endroit où il ne risque pas de tomber.

• Ne laissez pas le cordon pendre pardessus le bord du plan de travail ou de la table.

• Assurez-vous que vos mains sont sèches avant de toucher l'appareil, le cordon ou la fiche.

• N'immergez jamais l'appareil, le cordon ni la fiche dans l'eau ou tout autre liquide.

• Ce bol mélangeur tourne très vite. Vos ingrédients seront hachés ou broyés en quelques secondes. Plus vous laissez le bol mélangeur tourner longtemps, plus le contenu sera fin.

S'il y du liquide chaud dans le bol, il peut dégager de la vapeur et celle-ci peut atteindre une pression suffisante pour faire sauter le bouchon du couvercle. Pour prévenir ceci, maintenez le bouchon en place avec un torchon.

Environnement

Jetez le matériel d'emballage, tel que le plastique et les boîtes, dans les conteneurs prévus à cet effet.

Si vous désirez vous débarrasser de l'appareil alors qu'il fonctionne encore bien, ou est facilement réparable, ne le mettez pas au rebut mais recyclez-le.

Lorsque l'appareil ne peut plus servir, il doit être retraité, de façon à pouvoir être recyclé au moins partiellement. Ne le mettez pas aux ordures ménagères, mais portez-le chez le vendeur ou dans un centre de collecte agréé.
