INLINE BLOWER
Open service access door and check that the fan’s impeller is moving freely before making electrical
connection. The fan is designed for mounting at any angle, but the unit should be mounted so that the hinged blower access panel is exposed for any potential maintenance.Select an easily accessible location in the planned duct run. Keep in mind that for
optimum performance the blower should be located after all turns and as close as possible to exterior wall so that a straight run is afforded for discharge
to the outside. For long duct runs and applications
where the blower cannot be at the end of the duct
run, use of a larger duct is recommended. Transitions allow the fan to be installed to a round duct. For sealing the transitions to the blower housing, attach
the rubber strips provided with unit prior to installa-
tion. Removal of transitions allows for installation to square/rectangular ducting. The housing should be hung using metal strapping or xed mounting brackets (not supplied). The housing should be insulated
from the structure by rubber padding (not supplied)
to eliminate any potential vibration. Unit requires a 15 amp dedicated circuit at 115 volts. (ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS SHOULD ONLY BE MADE BY
A LICENCES ELECTRICIAN) The electrical connection is completed by feeding the wires from the switched 120-volt source (hood or accessory switch) to the electrical junction box located on the top
of the service access door using proper strain release and grommets to prevent chang. Connect the Live (Black) Wire to the Live (Black) Wire on a switched 120-volt AC Source. Connect the Neutral
(White) wire to the Neutral (White) wire of the 120-volt AC Source (as seen on Diagram A on following
page.) Unit should be tested to ensure that the hook up is correct and the unit is functioning properly before nalizing installation.
*Note - Optional Wall Switch (model # UIBWSK) is available for all
Prestige Ventilation.

Determine the shortest route for the duct to exit through the at roof. Have a qualied roofer build a square curb on the at roof. Normal height for the curb should be approximately 8” so that no water can run over the curb. Have the roofer ash and waterproof the curb into the at roof housing. The horizontal dimension of the curb after the ashing work should be 1/2” smaller than the bottom frame of the blower housing. After the curb is built, cut a circle into the roof deck, 1/2” larger than the diameter of the duct to be used. Drill a 1/2” hole for the electrical conduit. Have a licensed electrician pull the electrical wires from the hood through the hole in the roof deck. Remove the weatherproof cover and bring the wires into the electrical junction box. Connect the BLACK wire to BLACK wire on the blower, WHITE to BLUE on blower. Connect duct work to the starter collar of the blower and bolt the fan onto the curb. Check that impeller is turning freely, close weatherproof cover of the at roof fan. Switch on power and check blower.
