Operation Instructions for 2” Motorized Horizontal Blinds - Tilt System
Using the Remote Control “Cat-Eye” Filter (Optional)
In applications where blinds are installed close together, the “Cat-Eye” may be used to eliminate unwanted operation of a particular blind or blinds by directing the infrared signal and providing more accurate control for individual blinds.
Blinds Installed Above Each Other Blinds Installed Side by Side
Position “Cat-Eye” to the horizontal position and insert into remote control.
NOTE: Using the “Cat-Eye” filter will reduce the operating distance of the remote control, however will provide better control of individual blinds.
Position “Cat-Eye” to the vertical position and insert into remote control.
Multiple Blind Operation (Synchronizing)
In applications where a blind is operating in the opposite direction, simply activate (1) blind individually until it reaches the identical position of the other blinds(s).
EXAMPLE: Blind (b) is open, therefore operate blind (b) ONLY until it moves to the position of blind (a).
Blind (b)
Blind (a)
Motor does not operate:
- Check the connection between the motor and the battery pack. Be certain the cable is properly plugged in. (Do not force)
- Check battery orientation in remote control and motor battery pack. Positioning of batteries should match accordingly.
- Be certain batteries are in good working order. (Remote control uses alkaline batteries only)
- Check the position of the IR receiver eye. (Must be visible) Black lense should be positioned towards user.
- Remote control should be pointed/aimed at the blind(s) intended for operation.
- Check the operation of the remote control by viewing the IR port hole. A red light should be visible when the control button is pressed.
For optimal customer satisfaction, the use of lithium batteries is recommended in all battery-operated systems (excluding remote controls). The use of lithium batteries helps ensure long-term battery life, depending on usage. Extreme heat conditions may cause alkaline batteries to drain very quickly. Lithium batteries are able to withstand higher heat extremes than alkaline batteries therefore increasing life expectancy.
