HOW TO USE YOUR PRESTIGE DELIGHT RICE COOKER
1. Measure desired amount of rice with the measuring cup provided and pour it in to a container for washing. Do not use the cooking pan provided with the rice cooker, as the uorinated protective layer on the cooking pan would be damaged or the bottom would be deformed. is may lead to malfunction of the cooker.
2. You may leave the rice soaked in water for 30 minutes. is improves the quality of cooked rice.
3. Place the trivet at the bottom of the non-stick cooking pan. Add rice into the cooking pan and add water according to the table below.
Please remember that the above proportion depends upon individual taste
and the quality and age of rice used. You will become familiar with how much water to add after a few operations.
4. Do not let the rice pile on the side. Make sure it spreads evenly on the bottom to avoid half-done rice.
5. Wipe o any water or food particles/dust on the outer surface of the cooking pan, thermostat and heater. Otherwise the appliance may get damaged.
6. Place the cooking pan into the main body of the cooker. Gently turn the cooking pan left and right in the main body for better contact between the two. Make sure that the pan is positioned correctly otherwise the heater may get damaged.
7. Set the inner lid onto the outer lid by making sure the clip hole of the inner lid ts on the outer cover lid clip. (for Model PRWC 1.0)

11. Do not press the “Cook” button without the cooking pan in the cooker or
with an empty cooking pan in the cooker.
12. When the rice is cooked, the “Cook” indicator will go out and the “Warm”
indicator will light up automatically.
13. Please allow the cooker to remain in “Warm” mode for atleast 15 minutes
after this. is allows the cooking to be completed.
14. If you want to eat after some time, please open the cooker after 15 minutes
of “Warm” mode and distribute the rice evenly with the scoop. Put the scoop outside the cooker on the holder and close shut the cooker.
15. Continuous “Warm” over 6 hours may cause the rice to smell bad.
16. Unplug the power cord when not using the cooker.
Please Note:
1. During initial usage of the inner container, it is better to smear the cooking
pan with oil to avoid crusting. Always use the trivet.

Page 11
2. When cooking soups, curries and other liquid foods, the cooker will not automatically shift to “Warm”. Check if the food is cooked, and push the switch to “Warm”.
3. For foods that tend to crust easily, smear a little oil on the cooking pan, before adding the other ingredients.
4. Use only plastic or wooden ladles with the non-stick cooking pan.
5. Use of hard water will increase cooking time.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

1. Idly - Just add two cups of water to the cooking pan. Switch on the cooker and put it in “Cook” mode. Wait till the water starts steaming. en place the idly stand along with the batter. Close the lid. Steam for 15 minutes. Remove the stand and ease out idly’s after cooling. Check from time to time that the water level is maintained.
