Las bocinas Premier descritas en este manual ha n sido diseñadas para aplicaciones portátiles en las
que las bocinas sean colocadas directamente sobre el piso, el escenario o una plataforma estable. Así
mismo puede montarse en un trípode, un pedestal o una pértiga. Estas bocinas no deben montarse en
el exterior o en ambientes muy húmedos ya que la humedad podría dañar el cono de las bocinas y
corroer los circuitos eléctricos. De la misma manera, la suspensión del conductor podría secarse
prematuramente y el acabado podría deteriorarse si expone la bocina a la luz solar por mucho tiempo.
Las bocin as profesionales Premier produ cen una cantidad considerable de energía. Si son colocadas
sobre superficies inestables, como un piso de madera o linóleo, estas podrían moverse debido a las
vibraciones causadas por la potencia acústica. Tome precauciones para asegurarse que las bocinas no
caigan del escenario o la mesa sobre la cual estén colocadas.
Para evitar dañar las bocinas, así como otros compo nentes de su sistema de audio, encienda siempre
el amplificador p or último, lo cual evitará ruidos explosivos altos que incomodarán a la audiencia o
reventar las bocinas. Cuando a pague el sistema, apague primero el amplificador para evitar cualquier
problema.
Cuando utilice sistemas de dos o más bocinas, asegúrese de hacer coincidir los polos positivos y
negativos (+ y –) de las bocinas con los de las terminales del amplificador, caso contrario, el sonido
producido por cada una d e las bocinas interferirá con el de las otras, haciendo que sea imposible lograr
un buen balance en el campo sonoro.
Algunos modelos de bocinas Premier cu entan con un conector para trípodes o soportes. Si va a utilizar
este tipo de sostenes, tenga en cuenta las siguientes precauciones:
• Revise las especificaciones del soporte para asegurarse de que esté diseñado para soportar el peso
de la bocina.
• Respete todas las instrucciones de seguridad especificadas por el fabricante del soporte.
• Asegúrese de que el soporte esté apoyado sobre una superficie pla na, lisa y estable y que las patas
del trípode puedan extenderse por completo. Sitúe el trípode de tal forma que las patas no
ocasionen daño alguno.
• Extienda los cables de tal forma que los artistas, el equipo de producción ni la audiencia pue dan
tropezarse en los mismos, provocando que las bocinas se caigan.
• No coloque más de una bocina en soportes diseñados para una sola.
• Tenga cuidado si instala las bocinas en lugares ventosos. En ese caso de berá añadir peso adicional
en la base del soporte para aumentar su estabilidad.
• Aún si considera ser capaz de cargar la bocina por si sólo, solicita ayuda a otra persona para
colocar la bocina sobre el trípode o soporte.
Las bocinas profesionales Premier son capaces de producir niveles de presión sonora (NPS) lo
suficientemente potentes como para causar daños auditivos permanentes a los artistas, el equipo de
producción o la audiencia. Tenga cuidado si se expone por mucho tiempo a NPS’s superiores a los
90dB.

The Premier speakers covered by this manual are designed for portable applications in which the
speakers will be stacked directly on the floor, stage, a solid stable platform, mounted on a tripod stand or
pole-mount. Premier professional does not support suspension of the models covered by this manual,
nor are these models intended f or fixed installation in outdoor or high moisture environments. Moisture
can damage the speaker cone and surround and cause corrosion of electrical circuits. The driver
suspension will prematurely dry out, and finished surfaces may degrade by long-term exposure to
intense ultra-violet light.
Premier professional speakers can generate co nsiderable ener gy. When placed on a slippery surface
such as polished wood or linoleum, the speaker may move due to vibrations caused by its acoustical
energy output. Precautions should be taken to assure that the speaker does not fall of a stage or table
on which it is placed.
To avoid damage to your speaker and other parts of your system, when you turn your system ON,
ALWAYS turn ON the power amplifier last! This will avoid loud, damaging pops that will anno y your
audience and blow your speakers. When you power down, the amplifier sh ould ALWAYS be turned off
first to avoid the same problems.
When using two or more speaker systems, be sure to match the polarity (+/-) of the speaker system
connectors to those of the amplifier. If p olarities do not match, the sounds produced by the speaker will
interfere with each other, making it impossible to achieve a well-balanced sound field.
Some Premier speaker m odels include a receptacle cup to allow on tripod stands or poles. When using
stands, be sure to observe the following precaution:
- Che ck the stand specification to be certain it is designed to support the weight of the speaker
- Ob serve all safety precautions specified by the stand manufacture.
- Always verify that the stand is placed on a flat, level and stable surface and be sure to fully extend
the legs of tripod type stands. Position the stand so that the legs do not present a trip hazard.
- Rou te cables so that performers, production crew and audience will not trip over them pulling the
speaker over.
- Do not attempt to place more than one speaker on a stand designed for single speaker
- Always be cautious in windy, outdoor conditions. It may be necessary to place additional weight on
the base of the stand to improve stability.
- Unle ss you are confident that you can handle the weight of the speaker, ask another person to help
you get it onto the tripod stand of pole.
Premier loudspeakers are easily capable of genera ting sound pressure levels (SPL) sufficient to cause
permanent hearing dam age to performers, production crew and audience. Caution should be taken to
avoid prolonged exposure to SPL in excess of 90 dB.
