Using the cable provided ensures your powermonkey explorer 2 remains waterproof. Align the USB and micro USB plugs with the correlating sockets and attach the bath-plug style connector (C).
Then rmly connect the watertight screw cap (B)

To charge the latest Apple devices, you can attach a bolt adaptor (sold separately) to the Micro USB OUT connector (E)
Select the Micro USB OUT adaptor (E) to charge your device
Alternatively, attach the female USB IN adaptor (F) and then use your Apple-supplied sync/ charge cable
For Micro USB devices, simply plug the Micro USB OUT adaptor (E) straight into your device
To use with your own cable, unscrew watertight cap (B) and plug your cable straight into the USB port. Please note: this means the unit is no longer waterproof

Recharge your powermonkey explorer 2 via the Micro USB IN cable (D)
You can plug your Micro USB cable directly into the unit by removing the cap (B) and cable system (C). Please note: this means the unit is no longer waterproof

Hold down on/off button for 3 seconds to turn unit on
LCD screen shows level of charge remaining
To recharge via USB, attach the USB OUT tip (G) to the Micro USB IN cable (D)
You can charge via one of our solar panels (e.g. solarmonkey expedition pictured) using a Micro USB cable

Double tap on/off button to deactivate auto shut-off function. Double tap again, to reactivate auto shut-off
Connect to your laptop/computer. Fully recharging via USB takes 10-11 hours
You can charge via a USB AC charger (not supplied). Fully recharging via mains takes 8-9 hours
Hold on/off button down for 3 seconds to turn unit off when not in use
