rust and paint residue from small and poorly accessible metal and wood surfaces. In
addition, the sand blasting is used to obtain an adhesive substrate for subsequent coatings.
The grit material is drawn through the riser and sprayed by means of the supplied
compressed air. The release of the material is carried out by a trigger mechanism that
manually controls the valve fitted in the tool.
The tool may only be powered by a suitable compressed air supply. Any other or additional
use is deemed to be improper. Proper use includes the observance of the operating,
installation and maintenance instructions.
WARNING! For your own safety, read this manual and general safety
instructions carefully before using the appliance. Your power tool should
only be passed on together with these instructions.
1.1 Safety of the user
To prevent unintended and uncontrolled operation, the trigger is designed in such a way
that, when released, it immediately flips back into the OFF position. The operation will stop
immediately.
Please note that the grit material may continue to run from the container until the pressure
reduction is completed. Do not aim the jet at people. Never aim the jet at yourself or other
people or animals.
Follow all safety instructions for the proper handling of the blast media. Read and follow all
safety and operating instructions of the manufacturer for the proper handling of the blast
media. Never use quartz sand for the sand blasting.
1.2 Prohibited applications
Do not use the tool in an explosive environment that contains substances such as
flammable liquids, gases and especially paint and dust fumes. These substances may be
ignited by contact with hot surfaces of the tool.

Remove all packaging materials.
Remove remaining packing and package inserts (if included).
Check that the package contents are complete.
Check the appliance, the power cord, the power plug and all accessories for
transportation damage.

Keep the packing materials as long as possible till the end of the warranty period.
Dispose it into your local waste disposal system afterwards.

4 GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! When using technical equipment, you must observe the
following basic safety instructions to protect yourself from electric shock,
injury and fire. KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
4.1 Workplace
Keep your workplace clean and tidy. Untidiness and unlit working areas can lead to
accidents.
WARNING: Never work with the tool in an explosive environment that contains
flammable liquids, gases or dust. Tools can create sparks that may ignite the dust or
fumes.
Keep other persons, especially children, away when using the tool. Do not allow
other persons, especially children, to touch the tool. You can lose control of the tool if
you are distracted.
Consider environmental influences.
Make sure that the workplace is well lit.
4.2 Personal safety
Be attentive, watch what you are doing and use common sense when working with a
tool. Do not use the tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication. A moment of inattention while using the tool may lead to serious injuries.
Wear personal safety equipment and always wear safety goggles. Wearing personal
protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, safety helm or ear
protection, depending on the type and use of the tool, reduces the risk of injuries.
Avoid accidental start-up. Ensure that the switch is in the “OFF” position before
plugging the tool into your power source. Carrying the tool with your finger on the
switch or plugging in the tool with the switch on, may lead to accidents.
