Fill fuel tank to base of tank filler neck. Use fresh, clean, regular unleaded gasoline.
Do not overfill.
Do not mix oil with gasoline.
To assure fuel freshness, only purchase fuel in quantities that can be used within 30 days.
CAUTION: Wipe off any spilled oil or fuel. Do not store, spill or use gasoline
near an open flame
CAUTION: Alcohol blended fuels (called gasohol or using ethanol or
methan can attract moisture which leads to separation and formation of
acids during storage. Acidic gas can damage the fuel system of an engine
while in storage. To avoid engine problems, the fuel system should be
emptied before storage (See chapter Storage, further in this manual)
7.4 To start engine and engage blade
The unit is equipped with a rubber boot over the end of the spark plug, make certain the metal
loop on the end of the spark plug wire (inside the rubber boot) is fastened securely over the
metal tip of the spark plug.

Disconnect and ground the spark plug wire as instructed in the separate engine manual to
prevent accidental starting while equipment is unattended.
7.7 auto move
Squeeze the self-drive control handle (1), the lawnmower will move forward automatically with
about 0.9 m/s. (3.1 km/h)
CAUTION: your mower is designed to cut normal residential grass of a
height no more than 250mm. Do not attempt to mow through unusually tall
dry or wet grass (e.g, pasture) or piles of dry leaves. Debris may build up on
the mower deck or contact the engine exhaust presenting a potential fire
hazard.
Empty and clean the bag, make sure it is clean and ensure its meshwork is ventilated.
7.9 Deck
The underside of the mower deck should be cleaned after each use to prevent a buildup of
grass clippings, leaves, dirt or other matter. If this debris is allowed to accumulate, it will invite
rust and corrosion, and may prevent proper mulching. The deck may be cleaned by tilting the
mower and scraping clean with a suitable tool (make certain the spark plug wire is
disconnected).
Do not tilt mower more then 30°. If you want to tilt it more, First drain fuel
tank completely (see 8.3).
7.10 Height adjustment instructions
Caution: do not at any time make any adjustment to lawnmower without
first stopping the engine and disconnecting the spark plug wire.
Caution: before changing mowing height, stop mower and disconnect spark
plug cable.
Your mower is equipped with a central height adjustment lever offering 7 (20-28-36-46-56-6675 mm) height positions.
Stop mower and disconnect spark plug cable before changing mower cutting height.
The central height adjustment lever offers you 7 (20-27-35-45-55-65-75mm) different
height positions. (Fig 11)
To change the height of cut, squeeze adjuster lever toward the wheel, moving up or down
to selected height.
All wheels will be in the same height of cut.
7.11 Rear cover position / grass expelling (Fig 12)
The rear cover can be used in 2 positions :
1 Cutting up and collected in the grass catcher
2 Cutting up and ejecting backwards
7.12 Mowing tips
Under certain conditions, such as very tall grass, it may be necessary to raise the cutting
height to reduce resistance ( prevent overload of the engine) and leaving clumps of grass
clippings. It may also be necessary to run the lawn mower over the area a second time.
For extremely heavy cutting, reduce the width of cut by over lapping previously cut paths
and mow slowly.
The pores in the cloth grass catcher can become blocked with dirt and dust and will
collect less grass. To prevent this, regularly hose down the grass catcher and let dry
before re using.
Keep the top of the engine (around the starter) clear and clean of grass clippings and
chaff. This will help engine air flow and extend engine life.

you strike a foreign object. Replace when necessary.
For best results your blade should be sharp. The blade may be re-sharpened by removing it
and either grinding or filing the cutting edge keeping as close to the original bevel as possible.
It is extremely important that each cutting edge receives an equal amount of grinding to
prevent an unbalanced blade. Improper blade balance will result in excessive vibration
causing eventual damage to the engine and mower. Be sure to carefully balance blade after
sharpening. The blade can be tested for balance by balancing it on a round shaft screwdriver.
Remove metal from the heavy side until it balances evenly.
Before reassembling the blade and the blade adapter to the unit, lubricate the engine
crankshaft and the inner surface of the blade adapter with light oil. Install the blade adapter on
the crankshaft with the "star" away from the engine. Place the blade with the part number
facing away from the adapter. Align the washer over the blade and insert the hex bolt. Tighten
the hex bolt with 40 Nm torque listed below:
