sheet under the product. Mix petrol and oil in the fuel mixing bottle (26).
NOTE: Never mix fuel and oil directly in the tank of the product.
Unscrew and remove the fuel tank cap (10), then add the fuel mixture into the tank (9).
Use a fuel funnel fitted with a filter to avoid debris entering the tank and to avoid spilling.
Do not overfill. Leave a minimum 5 mm of space between the top of the fuel and the inside
edge of the tank to allow for expansion (Fig. 1).
Wipe up spilled fuel with a soft cloth and refit the fuel tank cap (10).
7.2 Handle adjustment
The handle can be adjusted ± 90° to left and right side according to the required cut.
Press the unlock button (14) down and hold it in its lower position (Fig. 2).
Turn the handle (13) in desired direction to the end. Make sure the handle engages in
position (Fig. 3).
WARNING! Only adjust the handle position when the engine is switched off!
Always ensure that the handle locks in one of the end positions, never use it
in any other intermediate position.
8 OPERATION
8.1 Starting / Stopping
This product is controlled with the control handle. For operation three steps are necessary:
First the ignition switch (11) must be put into its on position “I” (Fig. 4, a).
Then the throttle interlock (12) must be pressed (Fig. 4, b) to disengage the throttle trigger.
Finally press the throttle trigger (15) (Fig. 4, c).
8.1.1 Starting
Place the product on a flat, stable surface. Ensure that the cutting blade in use does not
touch the ground or any objects.
Set the ignition switch (11) to its on position “I” (Fig. 5).
If the engine is cold, move the choke lever (19) to the “CLOSE” position and depress
the primer (23) seven times (Fig. 6a).
If the engine is warm, move the choke lever (19) to the “OPEN” position , do not press
the primer (Fig. 6b).
Hold the product stable and pull the recoil starter handle (7) firmly; repeat until the engine

other objects when starting the product! Allow the recoil starter rope to
return slowly and controlled after each pull!
Allow the product to run at idle speed for 10 to 15 seconds to let it warm up; move the
choke lever (19) to its “OPEN” position once the engine is warm.
Once the engine is running correctly, carefully lift the product and securely hold it by its
handles.
NOTE: During idle running the cutting blade should not move. Contact a
qualified technician if you find that the cutting blade is moving.
8.1.2 Cutting
Press the throttle interlock (12), hold it in position and then press the throttle trigger (15) to
engage the cutting blade.
Loosen the throttle trigger (15) to stop the cutting blade (1).
8.1.3 Stopping
Release the throttle trigger (15) and let the product run at its idle speed for 10 – 15
seconds.
Set the ignition switch (11) to its off position “O” (Fig. 8).
WARNING! The cutting blade will continue to move for some time after the
engine has been switched off! Wait until cutting blade has come to a
complete stop before placing the product on the ground
8.2 Trimming times
8.3 Cutting
Adjust the handle so that it fits the intended cut and start the product as described.
Cut and remove branches exceeding the cutting capacity (max. 27 mm) of this product
using a proper pruner before operation.
Move the cutting blade lightly through the cutting surface in a sweeping motion following
the shape of the hedge or shrub. A slight tilt downwards of the cutting blade in the
direction of motion is recommended for optimum cutting performance.
Do not to rush and do not attempt to cut too much with one stroke of the cutting blade.
First cut both sides from the bottom cutting upwards to the top (Fig. 9).
This will prevent any of the cuttings falling into the path of the area still to be cut.
After cutting the sides proceed to the top (Fig. 10).
NOTE: Try to keep the cutting blade angled at approximately 15° to the
cutting surface.
Cut in a number of stages if the area being cut is particularly long to achieve a better result;
NOTE: When shaping it is advisable to achieve a trapezoidal shape (Fig. 11).
This is where the bottom is wider than the top. A trapezoidal cut corresponds
to the natural growth of plants and results in optimal hedge growth, as it will
expose more light to the bottom of the hedge.

Unplug the spark plug connector (17) (Fig. 13).
Loosen the spark plug (18) with the spark plug wrench (24) and carefully remove it (Fig.
14).
The color of the electrode should be light-brown colored.
Remove debris from the electrode with a soft wired brush; avoid heavy cleaning of the
electrode.
Dry the spark plug with a soft cloth if it is wet (from petrol).
Check the spark plug gap; it should be 0.6 – 0.7mm (Fig. 15).
