The Power Plate® powerBIKE™ is a statio nary bike whi ch
combines t wo individual ly validated exercise meth ods – cycling
and vibratio n training. The ef fectiveness of both cyc ling and
vibration training are each well-established and recognized
independe ntly – but this is the  rst ever mechanic al stationar y
bike with integrated vibration technology.
The integrated vi bration technolo gy in the pedals p roduces high
frequency v ibrations while revo lving. This comb ination of cycling
and vibratio n training provid es simultaneo us cardiovascular
and strengt h training benets. The vibrations in crease workout
intensity , bu t also prompt the stretch reex, making this
increased inten sity seem easi er to cope with. That me ans you
can increase yo ur workload and the amount of calories burned,
thus improving your training results, without increasing the length
of your workout.

Important Safety Instructions Adjustment Guidelines
WARNI NG! To reduce the risk of serious injury, read the following important precautions and information before operating the powerBIKE™.
1. It is the responsibility of th e owner to ensure that all us ers of the powerBIKE are informed of a ll warnings and precautions.
2. Operate an d maintain the powe rBIKE, only as descr ibed in this manu al.
3. Keep the powe rBIKE, indoors, away from moisture a nd dust. Do not place the powe rBIKE, in a garage or covered patio or n ear water. Place the powerBIKE on a level sur face. To protect the oor or carp et from damage, place a ma t beneath the powerBIKE.
4. Make sure that there is adequate room around the powerBIKE,
5. Regularly inspect and properly tighten all par ts of the powerBIKE, as recommended in this manual. Please replace defective p arts immediately and do not use the p owerBIKE until repair is per formed. Only us e original parts fro m the manufacture r.
6. Children u nder the age of 16 should only b e allowed to use the powerBIKE with parental consent and with gui dance from a quali ed instructor.
7. The powerBIKE should not be used by persons weighing more than 100kg / 220.462 lb
8. Always wea r appropriate athlet ic clothes and sh oes while operati ng the powerBIKE. Do not wear loose clothes or shoe s with loose lace s that could become caught on powerBIKE.
9. Before using th e powerBIKE, make sure that you are familiar with the operation of th e powerBIKE (see pages 3-7).
10. The power BIKE does not have an independently moving ywheel (wheel) so the p edals will continu e to move together wit h the ywhe el until the yw heel stops.
11. Always regulate the  ywheel resistance so t hat your pedallin g motion is control led (see page9).
12. Keep your back str aight while using the powerBIKE do not arch you r back.
13. If you feel pain or di zziness whil e exercising, stop immediately, rest and cool down.
14. If replaceme nt parts are nee ded, use only manufa cturer supplied p arts. Contact your lo cal powerBIKE agent, distributor or retailer for advice.
WARNING! Before beginning any exercise program, consult your physician. Read all instructions before using. Be aware that incorrect or extensive tra ining may result in serious health injuries. The manufacturer assumes no responsibility for personal injury or property damage sustained by or through the use of this product. Always adjust the powerBIKE to the optimal position for your personal needs.
Saddle height adjustment
Sit on the saddl e and slowly peda l until the left pe dal is in the lowest positio n. Your knees should be slig htly bent without dropping the h ips. To avoid hyper-extending your kne es, make sure that your le gs are not completely st raight.
If the saddle is n ot at the correct height for your needs, it sho uld be adjusted. The sa ddle height adjust ment knob is located at the back of the colum n which holds the saddle sha ft. Loosen the kn ob until the saddl e moves up or down. Position the sa ddle at the optimum height for your req uirements and tighten the kn ob so that the shaf t stays rmly in p lace. Remount the powerBIKE™ and che ck that the saddle is in the c orrect positio n for your needs, based on the guidance a bove.
Saddle horizontal adjustment
Proper hori zontal adjustment of th e saddle is very i mportant in avoiding injur y to the knees. Sit on the saddle a nd move the pedals until the crank arms are i n horizontal posi tion. Using your forward mos t leg as a marker, your kneecap should be direc tly above the center of th e pedal so that a straight line is created between k nee and center of the pedal (see th e dotted line in image to the rig ht).
To adjust the horizontal position of the saddle, rst dis mount the powerBIKE. Next, loosen the rear adjustme nt knob which is positioned on the saddle shaft, just below the saddle itself and slide the sadd le forwards or backward s as required, and then retighten the kn ob.
The powerBIKE™ can b e adjusted for maxi mum comfort a nd exercise effective ness. The instru ctions below describe th e approach to adjustin g the powerBIKE to ensure optim al user comfor t and ideal body positioning; you may choose to adj ust the powerBIKE differently.
