Roll Guards

Posey Roll Guards offer a less restrictive alternative to side rails or
may be used as padding when side rails are raised. They help
prevent high-risk patients from rolling out of bed, while allowing
sufficient room for patient comfort. The Posey Roll Guards easily
attach to a bed with quick-release buckles. The zippered
compartments allow easy removal of the inner bead filled bags,
which are covered in a wipe clean vinyl.

Product Features:

• Helps prevent patients from rolling out of bed, while allowing
patient to see out.

• Soft, flexible Posey Roll Guards act as a barrier to protect the
patient from banging into side rails when in use.

• Will fit standard twin and hospital style beds.

• Overall Dimensions: 25”L x 43”W (64 cm x 109 cm). Inner width
between rolls: 23”W (58 cm). Roll Dimensions: 25”L x 9”D (64 cm
x 23 cm). Straps (4): 33”L x 1”W (84 cm x 3 cm).

• Meets CA #117, Section E Flame Retardancy Standards.

Monitoring

This device is not a substitute for side rails or other
protective devices for patients at risk of injury from falls due to
unassisted bed exit. ALWAYS follow your facility’s policies and
procedures for patient assessment, monitoring and rehabilitation.

Application Instructions:

1. Inspect product prior to use. DO NOT use soiled or damaged

products.

2. Place the Posey Roll Guards on top of the mattress with the

quick-release buckles away from the patient. The Posey Roll
Guards should be on top of the attachment straps.

3. Position the Posey Roll Guards approximately 20” (51 cm) from

the headboard.

4. Wrap the quick-release straps once around the movable part of

the bed frame and secure the buckles.

Wipe Clean with soap and water or disinfectant.

Disposal

Properly dispose of the product
per facility’s policy for BIOHAZARDOUS
materials.

Storage and Handling

This device is designed for use in normal indoor
environments. This device may be stored in
ambient warehouse temperatures at normal
humidity levels. Avoid excess moisture or high
humidity that may damage product materials.
