Monitoring

Be sure to follow your facility’s policies and guidelines for frequency of patient monitoring. Posey recommends that this product be

removed at least every two (2) hours to check for skin integrity, proper circulation and rehabilitation exercises.

Inspection

Inspect before each use: check for broken stitches; or torn, cut or frayed material; DO NOT use soiled or damaged products.

Posey Palm Cone

The Palm Cone is a firm, cotton terry-covered plastic cone which
fits the palm of the hand. Adjustable foam strap accommodates
any size hand. May be used for exercise, or to help flexion
contractures of the hand. One size fits all; one per box.

Posey Palm Cone with Finger Separators

This firm, cone-shaped anticontracture device conforms to the
hand's natural shape, while keeping fingers separated. Adjustable
foam strap with hook and loop closure accommodates all hand
sizes and secures the cone in the hand. One size fits all; one per
box.

to grip. Polyester micro-fiber filled product comes with a soft,
expandable, latex-free, spandex strap.

Posey Finger Contracture Cushions

The Finger Contracture Cushion separates the fingers and helps
prevent the hand from closing completely. The cushion is filled
with polyester micro-fiber and is held onto the patient's hand by a
soft, expandable, latex free, spandex strap. Available in two sizes.

Washing Instructions

Remove cone (Cat. Nos. 5608 and 5609) before
laundering to increase durability.

Storage and Handling

This device may be stored in ambient warehouse temperatures
at normal humidity levels. Avoid excess moisture or high
humidity that may damage product materials.
