Warm Weather Starting Procedure (above 40° F)
In warmer temperatures, using full choke may cause the engine to “flood”, even if the engine is “cold”. Use the following procedure to prevent this from happening.
1. Turn key to “On”.
2. Pull kill switch (shut - off switch) up to “run” position.
3. Flip choke toggle to “Half On” position.
4. Grasp starter handle and pull slowly until recoil engages; then pull to start.
If engine does not start in 3 pulls, flip choke toggle to “Off” position and slightly depress the throttle (no more than 1/4²
open), then pull to start. As soon as the engine starts, release the throttle.
