¯ Adult Vehicle Only : This v ehicle is designed f or adult use only. The vehicle
size, speed c apabilities and control requirement prohibit operation by children.
¯ Operating With A Passenger: (On approv ed models only) Operating a vehicle
with a passenger reduces your ability to control the vehicle due to the added weight and
change in weight distribution. Generally,reduc e vehicle speeds and provide added space
for maneuvering, since steering control may be reduced.
¯ Excessi ve speeds : This vehic le is capable of high speeds. Exercise extreme
caution when operating in unfamiliar terrain. Buried objects or unev en terrain can caus e
loss of control.
¯ Body Protection: Always wear an approved helmet, eye protection and
adequate clothing while operating t his vehicle.
¯ Alcohol Or Drugs: Never consume alcohol or drugs before or while operating
this vehicle.
¯ Night Riding and Limited Visibility: Limited v isibility or excessive speeds may
cause over-driv ing of headlight s resulting i n insuffici ent time to react t o terrain c hanges or
avoidance of unexpected obstacles.
¯ Auxiliary Shut Off Switch: This switch is the primary means of stopping this
vehicle in case of an emergency and is located on the top of the t hrottle cont rol assembly.
Depress the switch for proper func tion with the engine idling.
¯ Safety Throttle System: This system is a supplementary safety device which
stops the engi ne automatically in the event of a throttl e system malfunction. See the
Owner’s Manual for proc edure to ensure proper system operati on.
¯ Vehicle Control: The S teering and braking ability are greatly reduced when
operating on hardpac ked snow, ice or when crossing roads. Reduced speed and extra
care are required to maintain vehicle control.
¯ Ski S kag Inspec tion: Inspect ski skags for wear ev ery 500 miles or more of ten
when operating on abrasiv e surf ace conditions. Replace ski skags when worn to 1/2 of
original diameter.
¯ Carbide Sk ags and Studs: These items enhance vehicle control on ic e or
hardpacked surf aces. Care must be taken to m aintain a proper balance of s ki carbides to
track s tuds to maintain proper v ehicle cont rol. (See the Owner’s Manual for proper use of
traction access ories.)
¯ Cargo Rack: If t his vehic le is equipped with a cargo rac k, do not sit in or on the
cargo rack. The combined cargo load and tongue weight on the hitch should not ex ceed
75 lbs . (34 kgs.) Cargo load affects machine steering and braking response.
¯ Rotating Track: Stay c lear of the rotating trac k ass embly. Entanglement may
result.
¯ Unfamiliar Rider: Never permit a guest t o operate this vehic le unless the guest
has read t he Owner ’s Manual and warnings.
¯ Adjustment andS ervice: I f you arenot familiar with safe adjustment and service
procedures, bring your vehicle to a qualifi ed dealer for servicing or adjustment.
¯ Read and understand warnings and the Owner’s Manual before operation.
Severe injury or death can result from not heeding the warnings or understanding the
Owner’s Manual.
