INTRODUCTION TO POLAR CLUB

PolarClubisaheart ratebasedsolutionthat bringsgrippinggroupexerciseclassestofitnessclubs. With heart ratetrainingandfunrewardsat thecoreof PolarClub,you’llhaveclubmemberspushingharder, feelingmotivatedandcomingbackformore.

ThePolarClubappmakesrunningyourclassesabreeze. Withthereal-timeheart ratebasedguidance, theinstructorcaneasily seewho'skeepingupwiththeclassandsteerthegrouptotheright direction. At theendof theclass,thegroupseesasummary of howthey did.

InthePolarClubapp,youcandefinetheclubsettings,scheduleclassesandinviteinstructors.

Start by searchinganddownloadingthePolarClubappfromtheAppStore. Opentheapp,andsignin withyourPolarClubaccount usernameandpassword.

POLARCLUB WEB SERVICE

OnyourhomepageinthePolarClubwebserviceyou'llfindusefullinkstohelpyoufindinformationand get themost out of yourPolarClub. Ontheclubaccount pageyoucanviewandedit yourclubaccount data. SigninwithyourPolarClubaccount at polar.com/club.

•Polar Fitness Trackers: Weofferacompletelineof connectedfitnesstrackerstohelpyourclub membersreachtheirgoals,fromweight losstotrainingforanevent.

•Polar Coach: ThefreePolarCoachservicemakesit eveneasierforpersonaltrainerstomanage andguidetheirclientstosuccess. Withthehelpof PolarCoachandPolarfitnesstrackers,personal trainershaveaccesstotheircustomers24/7 activity data. Seeflow.polar.com/coachformore information.

REQUIREMENTS AND RECOMMENDED SETUP

•PolarClubappdownloadablefromtheAppStore

•CompatiblePolarheart ratesensorsandstraps. ThePolarClubappiscompatiblewithseveral Polarheart ratesensorsandfitnesstrackers. Pleaseseethelist of compatiblePolarheart rate sensorsandfitnesstrackersonthesupport page.

Recommended setup

1.iPad for instructor use

WiththisiPad,theinstructorstartsthetrainingsession. It'salsotheinstructor'swindowtothe exercisers'heart ratesduringthesession

2.Video projector or TV

If youwant theexerciserstoseetheirheart rateswhiletraining,attachthisiPadtoavideo projectororTVwithacompatiblecableand/oradapter. If youwant touseAppleTVandAirPlay, followiPad'sguidance.

3.Online sign-up

Onlinesign-upgivesyourmemberstheoptiontosignupforclassesthroughtheFlowwebservice uptooneweekbeforehand. Youcanenable/disabletheonlinesignupoptioninthePolarClub webserviceunderClubsettings.

4.One or two iPads for customer sign in at club reception

ConsiderhavingseparateiPadsforthememberswhoalready haveaPolaraccount,andforthe memberswhoneedtocreateaPolaraccount beforesigningintoclasses. Thisway youavoidlines intheclubreceptionandgivethemembersmoreprivacy tocreatetheiraccount.

SUBSCRIBE TO POLAR CLUB

1.Start by orderingthePolarClubaccount fromthepolar.com/club webpage. Yoursubscription startswithafree30 daystrialperiod. Youcancancelyoursubscriptionduringthetrialat any time without costs.

2.Choosethelocationof yourclubandthenchooseRegister club.

3.CreateaPolaraccount,orsigninif youalready haveone. If youhavealready createdanaccount by signingupforoneof Polar'swebservicesormobileapplications,orwhentakingyourproduct

intouse,yourusernameandpasswordarevalidforPolarClubwebserviceaswell. Youcansign upforPolar’swebservicesonly oncewiththesameemailaddress. Theusernameisalwaysyour emailaddress.

4.Club information: Fillinclubinformation. Theclubemailaddressenteredherewillbeusedby us tosendyouinvoicesandotherinformationregardingyoursubscription.

5.Subscription details: Choosethepayment type,andfillinthebillingaddressif different from theprefilledclubaddress. ReadtheTermsof Use,andaccept themby selectingthecheckbox.

6.Payment: Checkthepayment summary anddetails. Aftercompletingyoursubscription,youwill beshownasubscriptionsummary pagewhereyoucanprint thesummary andproceedtoyour Club'shomepage.

7.Anemailwillbesent totheclub'semailaddress,givingyouinstructionsonhowtoget started. Yourfree30 daystrialperiodstartsimmediately.

CLUB ACCOUNT FAQS

WHERE ISTHE POLARCLUB APP AVAILABLE?

Goto polar.com/club tosubscript toPolarClub. Duringthesubscriptionprocess,youaregoingto chooseyourlocationfromadrop-downlist. Youwillbenotifiedif PolarClubisn't availableinyour country yet.

I DON'TWANTTOUSE THE CLUB COMMUNITY. WHATCANI DO?

Asaclubadmin,youcanremoveyourclub'scommunity throughthecommunity page. Removingthe community alsopreventsonlinesign-ups,but youcanstillcontinueusingtheserviceby signingup exerciserswiththePolarclubapp(iPad).

Removing community is permanent.Ifyou remove yourclub's community,you can'tstartusing the communityagain withoutactivating a new accountwith a differentname.

SETTINGS IN POLAR CLUB APP

InthePolarClubapp,gototheMore menuandchooseSettings.

MIRROR YOUR IPAD TO AN EXTERNAL SCREEN

Usethesliderat thebottomof theSettings viewtoenableordisablemirroringof youriPadscreen. Whenmirroringisenabled,thescreencontent shownonyouriPadisautomatically mirroredtoan externalscreenwhenyouconnect youriPadtoavideoprojectororTV.

You need a suitable AVadapterand a cable toconnectthe iPad toa videoprojectororTV.

CLUB APPEARANCE

InthePolarClubapp,gototheMore menuandchooseSettings > Club appearance.

Club appearance settings are visible forthe club admin only.

1.Add Club logo: Theclublogoisshownonyourclubcommunity pageinthePolarFlowweb service. Youcanalsoenabletoshowtheclublogointheliveviewduringclasses. Intheliveview, yourclubinstructorscanenableordisablethelogofromthecogwheelmenuonthetoprighthandcornerof thescreen.

2.Add Welcome photo: Makethecommunity pageyourownby addingaphotoshowcasingyour club.

3.Club welcome text: Writeawelcometext foryourclubmembers. They willseethistext onthe sign-inpageof thePolarClubiPadappwhenthey signupforclasses.

4.Club introduction: Writeanintroductionof yourclub. Thistext appearsonyourclub community pageinthePolarFlowwebservice.

CLUB HEART RATE ZONES

Changeorrestoreheart ratezones. Thissettingaffectshowcolors/heart ratepercentagesareshown duringthetrainingsession.

Heartrate zone settings are visible forthe club admin only.

SEND SUMMARY EMAIL

Usetheslidertoturnthefeatureonoroff.

Whenthefeatureison,andyourclubmembershaveacceptedPolarClubcommunicationintheirPolar Flowaccount (Settings > Privacy),yourclubmemberswillreceiveashort training summary email every timethey participateinaPolarClubtrainingsession

EXTERNAL SCREEN VIEW

Viewatest screentoadjust thecolorsontheexternalscreen.

MANAGE INSTRUCTORS

INVITE INSTRUCTORSTOTHE CLUB

1.Toinvitenewinstructorstoyourclub,gototheManage viewinthePolarClubapp,andchoose

Manage instructors.

2.Taptheplusicon. Writetheinstructorsnameandemailaddress,andtapInvite.

3. Instructorswillreceiveawelcomeemailwithinstructionsonhowtocontinue. They needto:

• CreatetheirownPolaraccount at polar.com/club,andaccept theinvitationfromyourclub

OR

•If they already haveaPolaraccount (createdwiththesameemailaddressthat wasusedinthe invitation),they signinto polar.com/club withtheirexistingPolaraccount,andaccept the invitationfromyourclub.

REMOVE INSTRUCTORS

Asaclubadmin,youcanremoveinstructorsfromtheclub. TaptheinstructorcardintheManage instructors viewandchooseRemove instructor.

If theinstructorhasclassesscheduled,chooseanotherinstructorforscheduledclasses,andtapSave.

Instructors can remove themselves from the club bytapping theirown instructorcard and choosing

Remove instructor.

ADD AHEARTRATE SENSORORFITNESSTRACKER

Youcanaddanewheart ratesensororfitnesstrackertoyourFlowaccount. Tapyourinstructorcard andchooseAdd sensor. Activatethesensorby touchingbothcontact pointssimultaneously.

REGISTER LENDABLE HEART RATE SENSORS

Toseetheirheart ratesonscreen,exercisersneedtowearacompatiblePolarheart ratesensororfitness tracker. They canusetheirpersonaldevices,but youcanalsolendtheheart ratesensorforthem. Incase you'replanningtolendsensorsforexercisers,youneedtoregisterthesensorsinthePolar Club app.

1.InthePolarClubapp,goto More > Manage sensors. IntheManage sensors view,youcan addandremovelendablesensors,andseethelast userforeachsensor.
