"Over the past few years, Point Source Audio has gained a reputation for

supplying tough, good-sounding miniature microphones in headset, earworn

and lavalier styles. Now, with its new flagship SERIES8 line, the company is

poised to take things up a notch—or two. As mentioned earlier, the SERIES8

mics are designed for vocal performance. Models optimized for spoken word

application are also offered, but the SERIES8 capsules are intended for wide,

response/wide dynamic range use such as singing, which can present an

exceptionally demanding source to any microphone, let alone a miniature

"The earworn models adjust for secure mounting and the flexible boom

can be easily adjusted to suit. The boom length (between base of ear and

capsule) is about 3.25 inches, which was fine for most people, but a bit

short for performers with larger heads. The headset models offer a much

wider range of adjustment and are quite secure, even with the most active

performers. The headset earpieces swivel flat for storage and are released

by a slight 1/4-inch tug to lock them in place. And that “unbreakable boom”

isn’t far from the truth. I couldn’t believe how much torture these could take

The SERIES8 cardioid collection is offered in 3 popular styles: headset, earworn, and

lavalier. The cardioid pick up pattern is ideal in applications when there is more than one

mic being used, in live performances, and in some recording situations. A unique benefit

of the SERIES8 cardioid headset and earworn microphones is that the capsule is

especially miniaturized and there is no need to force the mic directly in front of the mouth

as with other cardioid microphones. The boom of the microphone can sit comfortably at

the corner of the mouth so an unobtrusive appearance is easily achieved. Both the

headset and earworn mics feature a boom bendable beyond 360°. Each microphone

includes one Interchangeable X-Connector for termination to your wireless system.

The SERIES8 omnidirectional collection is offered in 3 popular styles: headset,

earworn, and lavalier. The omnidirectional pattern assures ease in fitting with a

natural vocal sound well suited in low to moderate noise environments. Its circular

pick up pattern adapts exceptionally to a wide array of mic’ing applications. All the

SERIES8 omni microphones boast of 148dB max SPL, IP57 waterproof rating against

water, sweat and makeup; and our super bendable boom is “unbreakable” up to 360°

bending over the lifetime of the product. Each microphone comes with one

X-Connector of your choosing for termination to your wireless system. The

X-Connectors have a threaded screw connection so they are simple to remove, but

remain secure while in use.

125dB SPL, but includes all the premium attributes that come with the

celebrated “unbreakable boom”. The CO-6 Earworn Microphone is designed for

vocal reinforcement for church liturgy, singing, aerobics instruction, lecturing,

sports-casting and other applications that require high quality vocal pick up in

a hands-free environment. The boom life is prolonged with the enhanced

durability of the completely bendable boom. The convenient placement near

sweatproof microphone defends against all types of challenging stage and weather

5W waterproof microphone will not let you down. The CO-5W has an impressive

The CO-3 Microphone is our entry-level earworn microphone designed for speech

reinforcement for church liturgy, lecturing, and other applications that require

blend of voice and ambience. The design of the CO-3 earworn microphone lends

The CM-i3 is the world's first modular intercom headset. This intercom

headset has a patent-pending slim-line design that allows for three

listening modes. Rather than having to remove the entire headset to check

environmental sounds or interact with others, simply remove one or both

earphones to exit the listening mode or monitor a mix of feed audio and

surrounding acoustics. For the ultimate in modularity, the CM-i3 intercom

headset is designed using Point Source Audio’s pro performance EM-3 in-

earphones, but users will have the capability of switching out the supplied

earphones with in-earphones of their own choice—if desired. The swappable
